I hadn't read anywhere that she took drugs in the presence of her child. Can't see what the big deal is, myself, in a country where many many men have un-addressed alcohol addiction a little bit of disco powder seems to be small potatoes.
Interestingly, there hasn't been much approbation regarding being drunk in the presence of a child, or in connection with alcohol users and parenting in general. Of course, there is always the argument that illegal drugs are, well, illegal, but then that would make it OK to take new experimental drugs that haven't been legislated for, regardless of their potency or addictiveness.
There seem to be a lot of knees jerking.

Have seen a lot of fat maids recently - I suppose it's like the goth or emo thing - compensating for feelings of inadequacy by adopting an alternative lifestyle. I always thought it funny that all the goths were wither ultra-skinny or 'big-boned'.

If you're talking about sexual relationships, so long as the youngest partner is of majority, fair enough. It's a bit icky but it's their choice.

Well, I'm more than twenty years older than my children and we have a great relationship. I have a great relationship with my parents too. My relationship with my crusty old Japanese boss is terrible, though, so I guess each has to be judged individually.

No-one in Japan would bat an eyelid at a 31 year old man dating a 19 year old. Actually they're physically well matched, both being at the average sexual peak (18-20 for men, early 30s for women) though she'd probably have to train him some.

I'm pretty sure those marketing boys (they always are) are having a cynical joke at the expense of the Japanese population. It can be the only explanation for some of the stuff you see. Some of the other stuff is explained by lazy computer translation, it's true, but the really cringeworthy mistakes have to be a joke.
