Well England, America and many other countries with drug-cultures seem to be alright, they haven't broken down yet:)
This is typical Japanese paranoia, nothing else.
Alchohol gets people hospitalized and killed, yet it is still legal in Japan. Cigarettes get people hospitalized and killed and they too, are legal in Japan.
I think these people need to open their eyes to reality, rather than possibility.

Unfortunately millions of other people do not share your opinion.
I have never liked them, but then they are rich and famous, and you and I thepro, are not.

Further proof of idiocy:
Mother, three kids on bike, talking on her mobile phone while riding...
And the police stop a consenting adult from sitting on the back of a bike...
Mad. An adult knows how to break a fall, a child will just fall & break their head, or get their foot caught in the spokes or... How the police can allow mothers to get away with that, and not allow adults (which is far safer) is beyond me.

Oh really... Cyclists everyday, every hour in this city, Osaka ride with not a care nor any concern for anyone but themselves - but, actually, by the way the ride SO recklessly, it seems obvious they do not care for themselves either.
Last year I finally got hit, by a woman not looking where she was going, riding at top speed across the road, but came from the road onto the crossing so out of my vision - from my side. Her face hit my shoulder so hard, so fell, cracked her head on the road, blood on my shirt, broke my glasses that were in my shoulder pocket - then in the middle of that main road, I ripped into her, shouting in Japanese and English. She was unconscious, but I seriously felt it time to give these reckless idiots a piece of my mind. Witnesses of course in my favour, I had medical bills paid for - injured shoulder, and she was taken to hospital.
No doubt, like most cyclists in Osaka - she still won't learn, and will continue to ride without looking left or right, continue to jump lights, continue to ignore any kind of cyclists code...
Just an accident... Right...

In Osaka?! I see foreigners around every single day of the week at any time of the year, day, afternoon or night. I've lived here for 10 years.
Osaka the worst city? Doubt that very much. Depends on what you like to do with your life: I've been to places outside Osaka I considered dumps, but most of all, the worst people = Tokyo. Bunch of expletive of your choices. Osaka people are, have been, and always will be known in Japan as the best, the most interesting, the most fun, the most friendly, but yes, have tempers to go with it too. I'd rather be with a funny, loud-mouth than a dull conservative -> Tokyo.
Anyway, this dude dieing from being hit by a sign... Come on, he must have been severly weak in the first place. I've been punched, kicked, kneed, elbowed in the head and other parts of my sexy body, and I'm still here thanks.
Still, the man that kicked the sign should definitely pay some penalty for that: you cannot go around kicking things at other people and expect to get away with it.

Heil Hitler? Funny (not haha) how these Nazi's think fascism and the like are all down to the 'great leader Adolf'. Firstly they make themselves look ignorant by deifying a dead moron; then they make themselves look worse by thinking they are somehow a superior race because they have white/pink skin; finally they put the lid on their own coffins by not even trying to reason with people their beliefs, simply forcing them on others.

In what, 56 years, they have made 300,000,000 for the world?
That's really not very many at all is it if you think of the worlds population over the last 56-odd years.
Make it 300,000,000,000 & I'll be impressed;)
