Considering many of the nominees are usually Australians, Britons and Canadians, another brilliant statement from the King's Geek.

@LoveUSA- if the alcohol content is the same as beer it will have the same effect on the liver. HOWEVER, all of the chemicals, preservatives and flavors added to make it taste like a natural fermentation will likely rot out your stomach. Anyone who drinks beer as a hobby knows the impact fake beer has on the bowels as opposed to real beer.

@Smorkian- huh? you just said exactly what I said...?? are you agreeing or disagreeing- bub? People buy what is available to them in the magazines and shops and what their "idols" are wearing who have been clothed by their designers and their sponsors...It has very little to do with individual taste. or individuality at all.

@hime hentai- "With anyone accused of any crime, I would hope they still have rights up until they have been found guilty."-The article states he "admits in a book he wrote in jail that he took her life" He admits he killed her. He doesnt need to be "found" guilty. He ADMITTED IT! He IS guilty. What in the sweet name of all thats holy are you talking about? "accused" "suspect"??? He DID it by his own admission. the Hawkers deserve justice. not people defending the rights of the murderer. Disgusting.

I seriously doubt the magazines "cater to the crowd". More like the crowds cater to the magazines. As if these "looks" and fashions arent created on a boardroom floor and then marketed and sold through media and advertising then consumed by the robot masses. Spend , Spend , Spend! and you will fit in, in ,in!. Everyone will like you and you will be happy and normal. Just give us your money.

@ivarwind, im sorry, i meant if you watch alot of English movies. As it seems English is not your native language, I imagine you work as a ticket taker in a local cinema/2 cinemas that features movies from whatever country you live in. Let me rephrase- If you dont know who Seth Rogen is, you are absolutely NOT someone who watches movies that make more than 1000 dollars/100 euros/100000 yen/franc/beans etc.etc and you obviously dont own a computer and never read a single article about current movie events and upcoming movies and the actors that star in them.

If you dont know who Seth Rogen is, you are absolutely NOT someone who watches alot of movies, follows entertainment news or keeps up with current events in the entertainment industry. I am not saying you are bad or stupid. Just that movies are not your thing and therefore this thread may not be the place for your uneducated opinion. Seth is a definitive comedian of his generation

@chukers, Lost in Translation is about a foreigner in Tokyo, NOT Japan. Tokyo is nothing like Japan.

Everyone has the right to jump ship if they arent happy. Free counseling benefits the cry for helpers. The serious ones know what they are doing and know how to hide it. Its the people that take their family or others with them that should be the focus of preventative measures.

@ bogi I feel I should let you know how "important" she is. She is the biggest selling solo artist of all time in Asia, and the 7th biggest selling female artist IN THE WORLD - EVER. I strongly suggest you include her among the "important" people who have shaped modern Japanese culture...I never said this was important news. I said that she was an influential figure in Japanese culture/society, hence, SHE was important, not the story.- LOL this is hilarious! thank you again. @ whoever you are i already forgot your logon name,The "kichigai" part sounds right.....living in our own little gaijin world, are we? To not have even heard of Ayumi Hamasaki after having been here in Japan for eight years is quite amazing. e i never said i hadnt heard of her, the "who?" is in regard to what is newsworthy. Get a clue and a brain. First time on JT? -har

@bogi, you really need to up the level of what you deem as important news. Unsurprisingly, you wont. your post is quite entertaining, thank you for giving me a good new years laugh. I am sure Ayumi will drastically continue to "influence our sociey" she sure has affected my 8 plus years here and she will no doubt earn her spot in the poets corner. Such sophistication and contribution to society should not be overlooked...dare I say...Nobel? wow! and after figuring out the google button on the internet machine, I found out exactly how many Ayu's there actually are in the incredible world of Japanese music. You are quite the enlightener, thank you for gracing me with your intellect on such a serious and lofty subject as a j^pop idols wedding engagement. Oh yeah, one more thing...who? who? why is this news?
