The new bill would require the Defense Department to study the feasibility of relocating Marine Corps air assets to Chadian Air Base in another part of the island rather than build a costly new facility at Camp Schwab. OK, I give up, where the heck is Chadian Air Base? I spent 7 years on Oki. and never heard of this base.

Jeez, is resigning really the way to go? In a normal world, everyone would get behind the leader(s) and help solve the problems. Why do the politicians ,who say PM Kan is not doing a good job, suggest to him what he should do?, then help him do it. Is it not the good of Japan that they should be thinking about? By the way, why is Ozawa not in jail?

Folks, I am sitting many miles away from Japan so, I do not claim to know the fears, the people in Japan have, concerning radiation levels. I would like to ask how it is possible, for the people, who now, and for years following the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki have managed to survive? The fallout from those bombings surely, must have been worse than what is happening now. I would hope that people will think a little before declaring that this will be a disaster, lasting hundreds of years. Truly this is a disaster but, one that will be overcome. Hope always trumps despair.

If they want privacy they should 1) Appear on T.V. everyday and just talk about their everyday rituals 2) Give newspapers and magazines a detailed report of their daily rituals. 3) Make as many public apperances they can and talk about their everyday rituals. After a few weeks of this everyone will be sick of them and leave them alone.
