This Hatoyama must be a real piece of work if a Japanese newspaper will print language that strong about him. I can remember when Japanese newspapers were notorious for bland language.

"From the sounds of things, it sounds like the GI was at the end of his mental tether (not defending his actions - in fact someone inside the base should have picked up on it and had him discharged before this incident occurred)..."
