Someone help out Mr. Garnett with a succinct explanation... My brain's tired right now.

Too bad it's not a full-length picture. Cameron has the best legs. She looks great in this photo. Great hair.

    Ashton -- meh.

She looks like she's posing with a bottle of perfume. Infantile. Put the gun down, honey...

Yeah, he looks a little bored. Probably doesn't give two flips about the pachisuro machine.

The victim was 19-20. The attacker was around 40 years old, and some witnesses have described him as Native, not the victim.

And Zen Builder, I don't agree

What it shows me is that humans are being pushed to their limits and simply flip.

This is not someone who just flipped after being pushed to the limit. This is the action of someone insane, or affected by some powerful drugs/medication. An unprovoked attack of stabbing 40-50 times, decapitation, and further carving of the body, and displaying the head for any to see is not just a human who has "simply flip[ped]".

I see nothing "human" in those actions, or "simple".

I cannot believe how many people on other sites have wondered why no one tried to help the stabbing victim ... it probably happen so fast by time people were aware what was going on he was already dead.

    I agree with you, rjd_jr.

So sick, so incomprehensible. The other passengers did their best, there was nothing they could've done to help that poor young man.

Cleo, never tried a stick on bra... If it's not too expensive, it might be worth a go at least once. But in the heat... I don't know. I sweat so much that it would probably come unstuck.

You can also get clear straps. Check if your bra has removable straps, and then put the clear ones in their place. I've seen them at the 100 yen shop, never tried them myself. Might find better quality ones somewhere else.

Freespeach -- thanks for that thorough explanation. I think I'll stick with "cleavage" (with or without the stick-on bra!). I try not to incorporate too many foreign words into my regular day-to-day English, for risk of sounding like a pretentious snot!

blvtzpk... "Trollops and Hussies" just opened a branch in Sendai. LOL!!!

Yeah, beautiful photo. I wonder if they rehearsed that beforehand. They look very smooth and natural in it...

ExPrinceska -- I try to match the bra type with the shape of the shirt (T-back bra with T-back shirt, etc.). Maybe sometimes a strap peeks out when wearing a tank top, but if you wear similarly coloured bra and shirt, it's not very noticeable.

And I always wear a smooth-front bra when wearing a tight shirt. I don't understand the Japanese women who wear lace bras or those with some kind of flower applique or something that is very noticeable and makes their chest appear lumpy and misshapen. Saw a women yesterday with a tight white T-shirt and it looked as though she had stuffed her bra unevenly with tissue but I think it was just the fussy material on the front of the bra. Very unfortunate-looking.

Confession... I also had to look up decolletage. I assumed it meant cleavage but have never used that word before. I don't think cleavage sounds crass, though... If one says, "She's showing a nice bit of cleavage" I don't get any image of an eyeful unsuitable for the office, etc.

Yes, ExPrinceska! I also wear similar type shirts, some V-necks and a bit tight-fitting, too. I don't have a huge chest, but I'm in good shape and I like to feel sexy. But I dress modestly below, to balance the look. And I never reveal underwear, bra straps, etc., which I also believe is crass, as another woman has pointed out...

I get a lot of looks from guys, but hey... if they like what they see, I don't mind. I'll flash them a smile, makes us both feel good! ;-)

Oh, and I also read that Bale's sister asked him for $200,000 and when he said no, she and their mother started badmouthing his wife and he got angry.

The Bourne Ultimatum, starting from where Bourne steals the car in the parking garage and drives it backwards off the roof, then steals the police car... This scene between Bourne and Paz (who's in an SUV, I think) is fantastic.

    LOVE that movie.

I agree with hikikomori08, chinpira... Well said!!

BTW: What is a variety show? People have mentioned lots of shows that I wouldn't call "variety" shows...

Of Japanese TV in general, there are a few shows I like, ex. 9:58am M-F, Kotaete Chodai: there's a theme, sometimes serious, sometimes funny (ex. abusive relationships or ketchi family members) and real people call in/email their own experience on that theme and the TV show does a re-enactment.

But the variety shows are mostly rubbish, for the reasons already mentioned.

Well, for many of the expats in Tokyo (not this one) most of the expense is covered by their companies. Many do not pay for rent (and the associated key/deposit fees), utilities, children's education costs, etc. etc... So in that sense, it's not expensive for them at all. For the regular Joe (this one), it can be pricey but you have to use your head and be mindful of your wallet, boring as that sounds.
