The examples iterated in this piece in Japan are indeed ridiculous. It's amazing how the non-smoking thing is treated by non-smokers here in Japan. I'm a non-smoker but as long as people are not puffing smoke in my face I don't care. Separating smokers from non-smokers on your cell phone is stupid. And what scientific evidence does one person have to say that smokers are losers and have low academic records. How insane! I've never heard non-smokers say anything like that here in the US, not that there isn't but I haven't heard any. The common things people point out is that it's a bad habit, gross, and it shouldn't be done in confined areas with crowds of people. Strange Japan....

I've tried their perfumes and they're okay. There are much better designers for a lot less. Returned the only one I've ever bought because once wearing it all day realized that the scent was getting to me.

Sick! Typical of a 3rd world country. Corruption, No Protection Laws, Tons of rapists, etc...These bad characters give the country a bad name. Who wants to go on vacation and spend their money there to help their economy when you hear of such things as this.

He just had to show up. Now they just have fix the problem ASAP.
Recall that the US government now owns 2 US car companies due to the bailout and because they deal with labor unions, which Toyota does not, it was a way to cater to the unions and perhaps stray people away from buying Toyota and buying US cars. Not a stretch, you think?

Get tired of the constant yelling, that's the greeting, everytime someone walks in the store. Makes it worse when you have more than 1 person saying it.

What a loser perv.
@CaptainPanchira-Well, maybe they should. This most certainly would diminish the problem. A good slap in the face or kick where it hurts. To allow this and not do anyhting about it is absolutely stupid.

Well, isn't it also an obligation for the guy on White Day?
It's a Japanese custom and it isn't hurting anyone so I think it's okay.

Stabbings do seem to eb the preferred choice in Japan. Doesn't surprise me about the mental illness part. This seems to be mentioned for most reported stabbers.
No one knows this guys history so making unsubstantiated deductions as to how this man came to do this is stretching it. He lost it and stabbed a kid. Trying to make sense of a criminal mind is senseless. Why would you want to understand it. You can't even if the real reason was given.
Poor kid. Wish him a speedy recovery.

Those Japanese males (and females) have very coarse hair which allows them to style it like animated characters and it stays put.
I didn't realize how coarse till I went to a salon in Japan and was asked by all the stylists if they could touch my hair. Cute guys wanting to touch my hair; I said Yes! of course.
I think his hair looks kind of cool but the couple does look freakish in this photo. Don't know anything about them.
