Rice, rice and more rice I guess.

I am not buying the "English players were not fresh" excuse.
There are lots of foreign players in the Premiership who play in the same schedule and spend the same amount of time with their national teams before coming to South Africa. They seem to be doing well in the World Cup. Why is this fatigue only affecting English Premiership players?

Football is not a fast-flowing game in itself - unlike basketball for example. If we had to interrupt it even more, it would really, really make it worse.
Also, why do we need technology? Can we not put two additional referees by the goal lines?
Posted in: Why do you think FIFA continues to refuse to allow technology to help referees make decisions, given the number of controversial calls at the World Cup?

I am not sure if he saw it. He was down as the ball bounced from behind the line. Even if he did see it and played on, linesman should have caught it. Noone's fault by the linesman's.

Noone should get hung up on the ghost goal. It was unfortunate but it would have made no difference. England were abysmal. They were really, really bad. Some of the German goals were like taking candy from a baby. It would be have been a great injustice if the English side made to the last eight.
Back to the drawing board for England. FA really has to restructure and re-organize the team. I am not sure what the problem is. Looking at the players individually, one would think they would make an excellent team but apparently it is not the case. Players were a disgrace throughout the tournament. I do not believe it is Capello's fault too much. Players looked as if they were not interested in the World Cup.
Or maybe we have to accept the fact that the English teams are performing at the club level but at the national level England is not World Class.

Regarding agents and banks:
Please realize that agents take comissions from banks that they are allowed to do the paperwork for bringing them customers. We had one real estate agent who got very irritated at us since we chose to work with a bank which does not deal with agents (you have to apply yourself). So when choosing a bank, please make a detailed search and take the agent's advise with grain of salt.
I am amazed at how strong agents are in this country. They are like a legalized black market. They are the ones who negotiate with the seller in most cases, where they also get a comission from the seller based on the sales price. A clear conflict of interest, but then that is how it works, ey?
Where I am from, the seller wants to see you (the buyer) personally after the agent introduces. From there, buyer and seller negotiate everything directly.
Regarding cheap property:
Those who are interested, might also want to follow foreclosures. There is site(s) for it and it is public. I have some friends who are following them religiously.
You cannot control what is being sold and there a some things to watch for, but you might find a place at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the link LFRAgain.
It just makes sense to me if something - and I am not talking about printed matter, also the real deal itself - is readily available, people would covet it less. It is human nature. You can get it any time you want, so why go crazy over it, right?
@hoserfella: there is no evidence for this as well, mate.

@hoserfella
No evidence. Unless you were hanging out with me for the past 20 years or so. Feel free to disagree.

I think this kind of comment is difficult to prove.
I agree with the general idea though. I have travelled quite a bit and I can say that people in Asia - generally - are less sexually frustrated than their counterparts in the West. There are couple of reasons for it but I am not sure whether mangas are one of them.

Just a bigger iPhone/iPod.
Personally I do not have any use for it at the moment. I already have computers at home/work, have 24 hour access to internet. I also do not prefer to ready books, newspapers, etc... electronically. So I do not need it.
Besides, I really do not want to carry another electronic gadget with me. I have enough already.

So if you take a child-rearing leave, you do not get paid?
Another question: What kind of leave are we talking about? My company has a child birht leave for father, but that is about 4-5 days. And there is no other leave as far as I know. This child-rearing leave sounds longer. Is it like a maternity leave for the father?

They want their husbands to be like actors they see on TV? Man...are they living in a dream world of what? Suddenly I feel sorry for the Japanese guys..
Posted in: Today's Japanese women are well-educated and worldly. They watch 'Sex and the City' and wonder why their husbands are not more dynamic. And their husbands, having lost the security of lifetime employment and its perks, are wondering why their wives are so impatient. No wonder divorce has risen to a third of Japanese marriages.

I really do not see the problem here.
If you are watching it at home, you can still hear the crowds and their chatter when an exciting attack happens. The sound is not that bad. But maybe that is me since I watch the game and do not care about what the commentators are saying. Most of it is rubbish anyway.
And when the crowds go ahhh/ohhh, they are taking their mouths off the instruments so you can hear people pretty well :))
If you are watching the game in a bar, it would be surprising if you can hear the vuvuzelas on TV over the cheering and the noise going on in a bar. If you can, well then, there is something wrong with the crowd you are watching. This is the World Cup!! Get on your feet and start cheering for cryin' out loud.
I have been watching the games at home so far and to be honest, I do not hear the vuvuzelas after a while. Since their noise is a constant note, my hearing gets used to it and I can completely ignore them. Just concentrate on the game and you will be amazed how easy that is.

I see nothing wrong with vuvuzelas. I still hear the commentary and the noise of the crowd when something exciting going on.
Most probably they want to put some advertisements in the stadium and worried that people will not hear it :)

Because they are just figure heads. The power behind the throne - so to speak - are the bureaucrats in the government. The same logic as traditional Japanese companies.
Remember head of Toyota when the recalls happened and what was said in the press about how in a Japanese company the head of the company is just a figure head? Same thing.

I am not sure England will push themselves that hard right before the World Cup so we might have a draw here on Sunday which can cause a frenzy in media (in a positive way).
