JJ trek is not true trek. JJ trek is adhd with starships, while I think the actors play their roles very well with the intentions of trying to be true to the original series it is not. I still watch and enjoy but I know the difference and the original series, especially TNG and beyond is the definition of what is actual star trek.

These little brats literally get away with the most heinous crimes because they are "just children". Each one of them should be treated as an adult, they knew exactly what they were doing in every way you look at it. There is no rehabilitation for someone like this. The only thing that will change is that when out if they ever repeat they are going to be more careful the next time learning what got them in trouble in the first place. I have seen it far too many times back in the united states at the juvenile detention center with the sheriffs office. Juvenile aggressors can be just as heartless as any adult.

Perhaps understanding the photo before commenting is best, that is not a secret service agent that is the translator for Shigeaki Mori whom Obama spoke to.

As I have said before Japan is a huge regional player with a modern and well equipped military to back it up. All those who mock Japan as hiding behind the flag of the us are not giving credit were credit is due. The only thing japan has gained from the bases is not having to drop as much money as other countries do into its own mlitary. Since japan has been doing g that very thing and will continue to do so, the bases are just redundant. No one in their right mind would really do anything against japan because it would be so devastating to both sides that it would gain nothing but another world war. Japan should and can take care of itself.

How can people not realize that Shinto is an anamistic indigenous religion of Japan. With the concepts of creation, origin stories, myths etc. It has the majority of the same aspects of nearly every ancient pagan religion on earth. Not too hard to follow.

Good lord people nothing wrong with visiting a historic and beautiful spot. As a previous poster stated shrines and the Japanese culture kind of go hand in hand. It will be a nice visit for the majority going I believe.

If people would read the article the prosecution is willing to pay for travel expenses, which is only right to do so. Good on her, brave.

Sensationalist video interview. Same five people over and over. How many others gave opposing responses? No this is not the common view, this is the view of the most controversial or whatever. Nobody I know, western or Japanese tolerates this kind of behavior or finds it acceptable. Absolute rubbish.

Japan would not just roll over and die if the us left as some people state. Good gods Japan has arguably one of the best Navies and airforce in the region. At this point it is other Asian countries coming to Japan to seek help, Vietnam, Phillipines etc. Point being not a whole lot would happen in terms of Japan being invaded and conquered in the matter of a weekend if the us left. Japan would divert more to its own defense which any modern nation does and should. Child as it needs it's parent, give me a break....

Big man taking it out on something smaller and weaker. Just a matter of time before he runs up behind a woman or high school girl a slices her. Pathetic weak looser of a man.
