In my experience to date, Chinese travellers/visitors have been the worst in etiquette (cutting in line, grabbing items from other people's seat-back bins in planes, etc.) and hygene (picking their nose, constantly "hocking a loogie" in public)

So long as the protesters don't sink to the level of Chinese mobs, this is fine. Non-government induced expression of thoughts is allowed in Japan.

China's convenient claim to the Senkakus staring in 1970 is laughable... Let the judicial process take place first then yap away. Let's also see how long it will be before China starts crying a river about the Dalai Lama's planned visit to Hiroshima with the Nobel Laureates' meeting and trying to escalate the matter further.

The only guarantee that United can give is that you'll travel on an old plane with bad service and surly, ugly, old and fat flight attendants.

Delta may feel upbeat, but most educated consumers are still downbeat about the quality of service and staff of any US transpacific carrier...
I'd fly an Asian carrier such as SQ, NH, CX, JL etc., over UA, AA or DL when given the choice.

Hahahahaha!
um, Mr. Wen, make the wage increase across the board (i.e., Minimum wage laws that cover both foreign and domestic companies) and let's see if that addresses the problem...

So it's Hawaii vs. Japan for all the marbles. Good to see a lot of Asian blood including Hawaii in the Finals.

"Ready" to snap? I thought the concept of "going postal" was invented in the US a long time ago. At least in Japan, when things go bad, people off themselves and the most inconvenience is your train being late. In the US, they take out entire workplaces before going down themselves...

Compared to many countries, US taxis rank pretty low. A majority of them are hand-me-down recycled police cruisers that are barely street legal, with drivers a majority of the time are immigrants who speak very little language of the land, English. At least in Japan, the cabs are clean, safely maintained, driven by crisply dressed drivers who are fluent in the language of the land. One disadvantage of Japanese cabs, though not the direct fault of the cabs, is that Japan does not employ a street address system like the US. Thus an idiot can usually find a location by entering an address in the navigation system. However, for Japan, so long as I have a phone number of the business location I am going to, the location pops up on the nav even without an address. Almost never had any problems using a cab in Japan due to that fact.
