    Huh... I had thought that the US automakers were the biggest opponents to theis TPP since it would likely make it easier for the Asian automakers to better increase their market share in the US as opposed to vice-versa. Additionally, it would be easier for Toyota to export their Kentucky made cars back into Japan and China and Australia, etc.

    So pretty soon there's gonna be a complaint against Shonen Jump for the "Kochi-Kame" (Kochira Katsushika-Ku Kameari Ko-en Mae Hashutsujyo)'s Ryotsu's boss character, Ohara Bucho....

    As for foreign citizen rights to vote, that's a wrong thread. It's also stupid to give voting rights without obligations of citizenship.

    Frankly, while I use the iPhone for the US and EU areas, in Japan, I prefer the SE Acro since I have the benefit of using the Mobile Suica and watching one segs on the train. Also, much better viewscreen and camera functions in any of the DoCoMo androids. The camera in the iPhone must have been an afterthought.

    She doesn't own the shops, she licensed her name (image) to an store operator under a contract.

    Hmmm.... this is strange. The Japanese articles that I read regarding Yuko Ogura stated that Avilla had sought an injunction against Ogura's new agency and was trying to stop Kodansha from publishing the new photobook. What's even stranger was that I thought I read two days ago that the courts denied Avilla's request and that the photobook was going on sale, IN FAVOR of Ogura. She was supposedly doing a handshake promotion on the book at Fukuya on it...

    Lost in translation???

    　タレント、小倉優子（２７）の所属していた事務所「アヴィラ」が、小倉の写真集「幸福論」を発売予定の講談社に出版・販売禁止を求めた仮処分で、東京地裁は１５日、申請を却下する決定を下した。

    　これに対し、小倉と所属契約をめぐり係争中の「アヴィラ」は決定を不服として、「即時抗告や提訴を検討する」としているが、「幸福論」は予定通り、１６日発売される。小倉は２５日に東京・福家書店新宿サブナード店で出版記念握手会を開き、会見する。

    Breach of a non-aggression pact and attack/invasion after declaration of surrender was a bushwack move by the Soviets...

    Either way, I hope the Russians can also talk in a "calm" manner, seeing that they historically riddle civilian fishing boats with AK-47's in the area....

    What's up wth all the white shirts and dark grey slacks?

    t's the norm. And IMHO, it still looks more stylish than a typical scene at Ogilvie Transportation Centre in Chicago in summer where you see proportionately more obese people dressed in typical tan chinos and a beat up polo shirt, or fat women in spandex leggings....

    It probably would have been better to use some of that $500 Million as severance pay to the surly, old, wider-than-the-aisle cabin attendants and to replace them with younger, friendlier flight attendants...
