"a pretty weak day for the three players"

Wow, tough crowd! a 3 for 3 with a 3 run home-run and a walk, 1.00 OBP day, a triple short of the cycle is a weak day for Fukudome (one of the "three players highlighted here)? Although it was a weak…

Umm... Didn't the Seattle Mariners WIN 5-2? Conveniently forget the fact that Johjima took 2 BB and scored once and the Ichiro also ended up scoring twice?

Basically, it looked like the relievers ruined a good game, especially the Cubs game. Sheets and Zambrano had a good pitcher's duel going…

Still no "real" figures... Vice Minister Yabunaka did complain the other day that the diplomats' tours were disturbing in that it only highlighted what the Chinese government wanted the diplomats to see and that the diplomats were not given the freedom or the offered transparency to obtain a neutral information…

If Price Hotels did their homework and never had agreed to letting the Nikkyo-so host the meeting, then they never would be in this mess, I agree.

The Seibu Holding group admitted as much and stated that they should have done their due diligence when initially approached by the Nikkyo-so…

Ummm... historically, the Nikkyo-so have openly supported the Japanese Communist Party and the Japanese Socialist Party and are openly leftist.

The hotel should have known better in the first place not to book the communist-leaning Nikkyo-so. Then they never would have had to deal with this mess.

Expensive lesson learned for Prince, but maybe the other hotels will also learn from this.

China rarely wins any PR battle when it comes to censorship, oppression or any Tibet issue.

I say, let the athletes compete, but ordinary visitors and leaders od nations boycott the Olympics. Let the Chinese spend money on a party where no one cares to come. Show them just how "popular" their stance is.

I'm not fond of the new format as I found the old site wasy to navigate.

Also, the I had to re-register so the transition was not automatic...

I'll probably get used to the new format eventually, but ptobably not anytime soon.

So it's a chaperoned visit "arranged" by the "sponsoring authority"?

The media blackout until now must have been filled with script re-writes and rehearsals preparing the actors for the "arranged" visit.
