Perhaps, instead of protesting Fuji TV, the masses should protest the Japanese government and demand it to create caps and quotas like those implemented by the Korean Broadcast Commission to limit foreign produced content allowed to be broadcast by terrestrial TV.

Good to hear. Time to fully implement the dismantling of the parasitic unions.

Considering that the protest march was still relatively impromptu (no official organzier, no permission from metro police for march), interesting to see that still 500~2000 people showed up and marched. It will be equally be interesting to see if more shows up on August 21 as the net seems to be indicating that the August 7th date was just a meeting to discuss the "official" protest date of the 21st.

As long as logical people can recall actions taken by PRC in tha last 50 years such as invasion/hostilities/threats against other nations such as Philippines, Vietnam, Tibet and Taiwan and internal violence/atrocities such as Cultural Revolution, Great Leap Forward, Tienenmen, PRC will look hostile in the region

Still would rather fly NH or JL out of NRT as opposed to AA from HND.

pffffttt.... The auto manufacturers would be better off WITHOUT the UAW completely...
That would go true for CAW also. See how they were successful in holding their ground with Navistar? Navistar decided to shut the plant down completely and moved its operations out of Ontario.

Good news for defence industry companies in both US and Japan, future business prospects. Taiwan and Philippines would likely be buying soon again also.

Perhaps this escalation once again regarding Senakaku is one way to try to get the Chinese public to look away from its bubbling inward discontent with the authorities related with the train crash and deflecting it towards an outside (foreign) source of anger...

While China's Wen vows to punish those blamed for the train crash, apparently China is also vowing to punish those media outlets who investigate the cause of the crash... Lovely form of transparancy...

But it also seems that CCTV fired (or suspended) a newscaster who had reported on the crash and added comments that questioned the handling of the investigation by the authorities...

For not understanding the local language:
I hear it's NYC. Not sure about this though.
You're quite correct. You can add LA and Chicago too. All of those cities are full of cabbies that can't speak English and drive around in old hand-me-down ex-police cruiser Crown Victorias (which are falling apart) while feverishly chatting away on their cell phones.
Makes Japanese Taxis with well dressed, white gloved drivers in clean cabs seem like heaven.

Usually, when NK says something, there's very little weight or truth to it. So, if they're claiming constructive talks, it actually must have been just an exchange of names and handshakes and nothing much more....

A lot of lip service. I doubt that true transparency would take place, especially in light of the government orders to the media for them not to poke into investigating the cause of the crash. That plus how accurate and thorough can any further investigation be, especially in light of the fact that they buried the train cars into the ground, and prior to burying it, the heavy machinery was literally pulverizing the essential elements which should have been investigated, like those components of the train driver's seat and controls.
In most modern nations, when a major transportation accident takes place, the authorities "preserve" the accident scene until thorough investigations (and resue operations) are complete. Then they take the pieces, fragments and components of the craft and try to piece them together in a different location.
This is not what is happening in China....
