MistWizard, I get your point but restricting potential students because of height measurements at 155cm? 150cm is a little too "short" but 155cm is not that "dangerous"...especially when we are talking about a country where the average woman is ACTUALLY 155cm or so!! Get my point too?

It's not the doctors in Japan. Most are not criminals. That's not the problem as such. It's the way Japanese society works - it allows these criminal scum to carry on working even after after they've been arrested before.
I'd like to hear how you and posters like bicultural are going to defend the stupid way things work here in Japan. These proud posters are always on the offensive when any criticism appears on JT, and yet there's a lack of criticism of the 'Japanese way of of doing things' when criminals like these and child murderers are given light sentences.

There are no 'older negotiated numbers'. According to the infamous Article 8 each country sets its own quota for 'research' whaling. Don't try to pretend that Japan is somehow obliged to catch a huge number of whales determined by the IWC. Japan decides unilaterally how many whales it wants to 'research'.
