I personally find HD's ridiculous and pretentious with their loud exhausts and very much overpriced for what you get. They only came back from brink because movie stars started riding them. I own a Honda CBR 600 F4 and Kawasaki ZX 10R bikes and both of these will overshadown HD any day in speed and looks. Also, both bikes together cost less than a lot of new HD.

A friend has Ducati and it's ok but again, another overpriced bike that sucks your money in maintenance. It's too bad HD is forcing it's way to Japan. They must have tremendous advertising campaign because otherwise most riders I know here wouldn't ever touch one.

From the story, I don't think any of us know enough about this case to pass judgment on either people involved.

hworta269: I believe you're incorrect in most Americans having healthcare from the statistics I've seen (from multiple sources). It's the duty of the state to protect the people and if they can spend so much on military and violent defense, they certainly can provide at least basic health coverage to those who can't afford it.

I saw that they just recently raised the minimum wage (to the dismay of a certain 'R' political party but can you imagine working for $7 dollars and change and being able to afford to live, have food, clothes, AND pay medical expenses? The U.S. has great opportunities but it's also VERY expensive to live and raise a family. Most parents both have to work and if there is no extended family there, they also have to pay for childcare if they have a child.

I live in both the U.S. and Japan during the year so I do have some idea of how things are. When I was younger and just out of college I had a job that didn't provide healthcare and had to have some medical attention. The bill out of my pocket was 10 times what someone with insurance would pay. Look at the numbers and you'll see that the insurance companies negotiate service costs with doctors and hospitals while the uninsured (if it's so bad they have to see a doctor) pay FULL price for their treatment. That's very sad.

Arrested doesn't mean convicted. While there are too many perverted people out there, to believe she had no idea of his intentions (if proven) is to be too naive. Do you really think even a 14 yo female had no idea at all? I doubt it.

If they want those photos then that's fine for them. Why does anyone else really care. Personally I dislike seeing it and don't see anything beautiful about it but I'm not the recipient of the photos so it's fine. I don't think others have any reason to be prudish about it try to get others who want these done to feel ashamed. Can't everyone just let others enjoy what they want if it doesn't harm anyone?

    LastBestHope,

Even many in the US don't believe that propoganda. Your leaders even criticize it.

I'm curious about those who write so negatively about Japan. If you have this feelings, why even care to read a website with news about Japan in the first place?

    Scooter 28,

First of all, this happened well before most of us commenting on this page was born, so shut up.

    Try taking your own advice.

because the majority are to afraid to fight back

This is why the US rhetoric and rationale for using the bombs said that the Japanese would fight to the last person and never surrender??

The rest of your comment sounds like the reply of a child crying "he picked on me so blaaa." It's doubtful NK would do anything with just Korea and Japan in the political arena. Japan could shoot down whatever they launched at it and NK knows it's isolated enough. (unless you count on your good buddy china) YOU should grow up

DenDon, that's just not right on so many levels. The system is broken. Drug co.'s, doctors, and hospitals profits are soaring, people are losing jobs and losing insurance, and you want to criticize overweights people? Are you hw proportionate?

Japan wanted war and they got exactly what they deserved.

Would that be every man woman and child of Japan who wanted war or the the Emperor/govt.? Punishing unborn and school children and very old people seems utterly unjust unless those people wanted war. The civilians paid the price in the bombings...plain and simple. Very little evidence to the contrary exists. What makes you think U.S. lives (as you allude to) are more important than Japanese? Perhaps you were swayed by all the anti-Japanese war posters that made all of us look like primates??

The paper has every right to publish whatever kind of advertisement they choose to be it "anti-semitic," "pro-nazi," a book about how dogs don't bark, they really meow, or that it was Japan who was invaded by the US on December 7, 1941 and not the other way around as we all know. If you start imposing censorship in one area, it sets a dangerous precedent for more extreme censorship of speech and thought in general.

I don't agree with hate in any form or function but I do believe that an individual has a right to how they feel and think as long as it doesn't inflict harm on another (be it physical or mental harm). It's just tiring of hearing whining and making things out to be more than they are.

Paying for sex from your wife is ridiculous. If they do take them money then they're just a step above a prostitute. I understand if it's just some sort of sex game but doing it with seriousness is disgusting.

You're correct I have a part in it unfortunately. I see your point from this and very much agree. Countries would still fight whether or not a complex existed and the weapons would still be produced whether warring or not. I try to justify my work in that I deal with forensics during war and peace of anyone connected to defense. We (my colleagues and i) are always happy when we see fewer cases because that means less people have died.

Sorry your relatives are getting hurt by it. I agree with your lobbyist and crony comment too as well as other explanation. My comment was solely from what I've seen in the corporations. I'm fortunate even that I get to live here at home part of the year and in the US the other part so I can see perspectives from different sides.
