What rubbish! OBL is dead. His obit appeared in Al Wafd newspaper on December 26th 2001 in Cairo, and also in the New Statesman in India the same day. FOX News even reported it at the time: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,41576,00.html but, it seems that the POTUS was too hung over to notice after all the partying in the White House. By now it matters little. Every drone strike that kills another innocent family minding their own business just adds to the list of those willing to fight back.

And a most telling essay entitled: Why Afghans Dig Empire Graveyards can be found here: http://www.uruknet.info/index.php?p=m60456&hd=&size=1&l=e One of THE most poignant questions asked is: "Afghanistan is known as the "graveyard of empires." But just why do empires keep sending thousands of their young people to die in Afghanistan?" And a very pointed video here gives the nitty-gritty that FAUX News won't: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH60o8RmOUU Former CIA agent Robert Bear says that what the U.S. faces when it comes to the Afghan insurgency isn't terrorism, but a war of national resistance.
"The people that want their country liberated from the West have nothing to do with Al Qaeda," Baer says. "They simply want us gone because we're foreigners, and they're rallying behind the Taliban because the Taliban are experienced, effective fighters."
Because these insurgents see the U.S. as a colonial force, Baer says, they are unlikely to ever rally around the Afghan national army the U.S. is looking to establish. "This is an occupying force," explains Matthew Hoh, a former U.S. official in Afghanistan who resigned last month over the war. "The Afghan National Army is led by Tajiks and Uzbeks and urban Pashtuns, and it is occupying the rural Pashtun South."
This is why the U.S. should ask itself, Hoh says, "do we want to support one side in a civil war?" (Strike Two!) And Iran would simply be Strike Three! Gold is US$1,126 /oz & $1 is below parity with the Swiss Franc, and 86 Yen! Think hard, Mr. O, before starting any more unaffordable wars!

Hamas, like it or not, is the rightfully elected government of Palestine. Too bad Israel and the USA don't like that choice. The Rest of The World didn't like George W. Bush, but we respected the Americans' right to their choice. It always amazes me that every little hangnail suffered by an Israeli, from shock at being within five million miles of a dud Palestinian squib to, "Eew! a non-kosher sausage!" is documented with names, addresses and dates and times. So, let's even this out a bit, shall we? Here is a list of the slaughtered by Israel, last time round: http://www.scribd.com/doc/22883962/The-Dead-in-the-course-of-the-Israeli-Military-offensive-on-the-Gaza-Strip-between-27-Dec-2008-and-18-Jan-2009 No doubt there will be many more next time. And there WILL be a next time. It's what they live for. So, everyone in The Known Universe knows the name of Gilad Shalit by heart. (Remember, he was captured as a legitimate military prisoner of a war of aggression invading a foreign country, Lebanon. Not in Israel as reported by the lying media.) Start learning JUST the names of the children on the list I posted. Shout THEM at your Zionist friends next time you hear "Gilad Shalit!" being trumpeted. Ask yourself, "What if that were my little girl or boy?" Killed in my own home by Government sponsored terrorists and murderers?

As much of a backwards folklore as "Young Sarge". Iran is NOT making weapons grade fuel. Fact. Inspectors say so. The IAEA says so and they even admit it themselves. The corporate media have been given their orders to throw the focus back on to Iran.
Here is a recap of what they are trying to make you forget.
Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.
The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.
The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.
Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.
Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.
Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.
The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.
In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.
Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.
The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.
So, the "We" of the "We The People," "We" need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more. Unless of course, you believe their lies? Fool you twice, eh?

Something VERY fishy going on here people! A local news site, http://arklatexhomepage.com/content/fulltext/?cid=4509 is reporting that...Tuesday, Jun 19, 2007 @04:57pm CDT "An exercise designed to test Fort Hood's ability to respond to a terrorist attack will be conducted Wednesday. Military officials say the drill will involve a simulated explosion at the post's Abrams Fitness Center, resulting in mass casualties and triggering protective measures and emergency response. Col. Tori Bruzese, Fort Hood's Garrison Commander said, "We have a duty to ensure that we are ready to thwart any attempt to harm America's most precious resource, our Soldiers and Familes." The drill is expected start at 1 p.m. and be completed by 5 p.m."
A "Simulated Terrorist Attack" was ongoing during 9/11, and during London's 7/7. If an "Eye-ranian" suddenly ends up being arrested anywhere in Texas during this drill for a car backfiring or a soda can popping, then we know who to invade next! OK John McCain, start singing!

Sarah Palin signals in her new book Going Rogue that she doesn't believe in evolution, panning it as theory that human beings "originated from fish that sprouted legs and crawled out of the sea." From the NYT Book Review Sunday past,
"Elsewhere in this volume, she talks about creationism, saying she “didn’t believe in the theory that human beings — thinking, loving beings — originated from fish that sprouted legs and crawled out of the sea” or from “monkeys who eventually swung down from the trees.” In everything that happens to her, from meeting Todd to her selection by Mr. McCain for the Republican ticket, she sees the hand of God: “My life is in His hands. I encourage readers to do what I did many years ago, invite Him in to take over.”
For someone who conceptually would have been a heartbeat away from the Presidency, had McCain won the election, this statement is completely terrifying.

Translation: "There's something that makes American and Israeli life very complicated when these two guys just don't bow and grovel to us when we tell them to. After all, we want that oil. We're God's chosen people. How dare they not give it to us!"
Noticeably absent from JT reports is that Peres was greeted in South America by groups referring to him as Shimon Hitler, many of them Jewish people disenchanted with the nation's foreign and justice policies. And a recent flurry of truth assessments about Israel have emerged of late: This one: http://www.politicaltheatrics.net/?p=340 and this one on Britain's Channel 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POtk6G7q4Bw
Shimon Hitler may be joking around in Argentina, but soon he and his cohorts will face justice in the Hague. Mark my words. Then they can start on BuschCo.

"The enemy of my friend is my enemy. The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Now apply that to the PA, Israel, Hamas and anyone else in the region whose enemy is Israel. Add some "look the other way" money here and there, and before long your uncle is your aunt, and nobody trusts anyone. Just the way Israel like it. Same poop, different day.

Good_Jorb, relax, I'm on your side. I'm thinking back to when W decided that there would be no coverage of either the transport, unloading or, even, burials of fallen soldiers. My take is that everyone who serves deserves the right to a full, publicly broadcast funeral. Maybe THEN the "We the People" would get angry enough to bring enough pressure on the pols to stop this madness. That's the openness that I'd like to see.
Maybe this undefined lunacy called Afghanistan would come to a swift end?

Not sure what they say Toronto, but in Vancouver, which has a hugely diverse, but heavily Punjabi and ex Hong Kong Chinese populated, many of these good folks drive across the 10,000 plus Km Trans Canada Highway not long after they arrive. They proudly declare they've been across and seen Canada, although few to none realize that Newfoundland exists across the pond from Nova Scotia.
Anyway, they rarely venture more than 50 metres off Highway One, to either a shopping mall, a motel or a gas station. Yet, they consider themselves seasoned Canadians, having seen "Christmas trees" in the Rockies en route.
In Vancouver they're called "One-Fifties" Yet, in Vancouver, where coyotes abound, they still put up little cute signs saying "Kitty Lost" or "Puppy Lost" with the required tear-jerking photo, on trees, on fences and in convenience store and gas station windows. They just don't get it. Welcome to non 905 area code Canada. You're ON the menu!
And don't get me started on the "One Fifties" who feed black bears from their Lexuses or try to pet grizzlies when they cross into the Yukon! City folk!
