Really? Hasn't stopped you before! A 2007 Sunday Telegraph report revealed that the CIA created Jundullah to achieve 'regime change in Iran', and said the US intelligence agency was trying to destabilize Iran by 'supplying arms-length support' and 'money and weapons' to the group.
Another report posted by ABC also revealed that the US officials had ordered Jundullah to 'stage deadly guerrilla raids inside the Islamic Republic, kidnap Iranian officials and execute them on camera', all as part of a 'programmatic objective to overthrow the Iranian government'.
The Jundullah terror ring, which is led by Abdolmalik Rigi, has claimed responsibility for the attack that targeted a unity gathering between Sunni and Shia tribal leaders in the borderline Pishin region, near the city of Sarbaz. In a recent interview with Press TV, Rigi's brother Abdulhamid also confirmed that the Jundullah leader had established links with the US agents.
His brother said that in just one of his meetings with the US operatives, Rigi had received $100,000 to fuel sectarianism in Iran.
Fool us once, well, we can't get fooled again, eh?

How callous! The state sponsors of terror in the region have clearly and repeatedly stated their intent to "decapitate and destabilize" the government of Iran, and to "promote regime change." That's just another word for replacing the current leaders with their own bought and paid for thugs. Looks like we might get our October Surprise yet!
Funny thing is, we're all still awaiting the Jeffersonian model of democracy, and the the candy and flower showers we were promised in Baghdad. Beware the Law of Unintended Consequences!

How very Zionist of you Helter Skelter, blame the women and children from being bombed and sprayed with white phosphorous or shot while holding white flags! How dare they stand in the way! They should have run away....to where? They're caged in like animals. Check what's left of Gaza after the Israeli "silk glove treatment" of civilians, as they describe it themselves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlM2ED8l71c
The Goldstone Report was fair, balanced and written by an eminent Jewish judge. Hardly grounds for the usual shrill cry of "Anti-Semite!" for anyone who dares to call Israel on its murderous behaviour. Time to haul Olmert, Barak, Livni and Bibi in front of the ICC for crimes against humanity. Or their lack thereof.

Geert Wilders: I may or may not agree with what he says. He does, however, as a citizen of an EU country in an EU country have the right to say it. Only certain topics are taboo, and for which one can be arrested in some places. Islam isn't one of them.

It's really interesting, because a fundamentalist TV evangelist, while recently talking on air in Louisiana, asked, "All these folks believed in Jeeeezuz, and that he would come down and help them. yet not one of them took any responsibility for themselves, by stocking up on food, water, batteries etc. etc. What have they learned from this? Answer: nothing! They STILL expect someone else to come in and save them!"

justforeignpolicy.org has the number way higher than 85,000. And with an agenda like "a just foreign policy," I'm inclined to agree. The higher numbers are borne out in the UK's The Lancet of a few years back.

The town of Asahi-kawa was giving away free land in Hokkaido ( not sure if there's any left) if you build a home there, live there and, pay your taxes. No ban on international permanent-resident-status types taking them up on the offer. Longing to homestead? Off you go! It's a bit Saskatchewanesque, brass-monkey-ish, if you get my drift.

The prize clearly is deserved, especially in the light of the previous eight years. Talk about Obama being a walking antithesis of his predecessor, and the whole world recognizing that fact. Congratulations Mr. President.

Maybe by 2018 or 2022 the lingering racists in the LDP will have been replaced with more progressive pols, and Ishihara will be history by then too. No fearmongering about marauding hooligans to mar the playoffs like during the last Korea-Japan hosted FIFA tournament. That would be refreshing, and might give them a sporting chance.

The Times in London has this story on US soldiers "Losing Heart," The men are frustrated by the lack of obvious purpose or progress. “The soldiers’ biggest question is: what can we do to make this war stop. Catch one person? Assault one objective? Soldiers want definite answers, other than to stop the Taleban, because that almost seems impossible. It’s hard to catch someone you can’t see,” said Specialist Mercer.
“It’s a very frustrating mission,” said Lieutenant Hjelmstad. “The average soldier sees a friend blown up and his instinct is to retaliate or believe it’s for something [worthwhile], but it’s not like other wars where your buddy died but they took the hill. There’s no tangible reward for the sacrifice. It’s hard to say Wardak is better than when we got here.
No clear goals. No defined victory. Just endless injuries and bodybags. Not what most people signed up for, eight years after 9/11.

Iran announced Monday a week ago to the International Atomic Energy Agency that it had begun work on a second, civilian nuclear enrichment facility near Qom. There are no nuclear materials at the site and it has not gone hot, so technically Iran is not in violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, though it did break its word to the IAEA that it would immediately inform the UN of any work on a new facility. Iran has pledged to allow the site to be inspected regularly by the IAEA, and if it honors the pledge, as it largely has at the Natanz plant, then Iran cannot produce nuclear weapons at the site, since that would be detected by the inspectors. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted on Sunday that Iran could not produce nuclear weapons at Natanz precisely because it is being inspected. Yet American and Israeli hawks have repeatedly demanded a strike on Natanz. (?)
Iran is now being asked to prove a negative: evidence of something it doesn't have. The double standard when compared to its nuclear armed-to-the-teeth neighbor, with less than 300 days since its last war of aggression, is striking, especially as Iran has a "No First Strike" policy, against any other nation.

Before the Israeli/US coalition of the willing condemn to death tens of thousands of our fellow human beings in Iran, people whose lives are just as precious and valuable as ours, we should think twice before proceeding.
