Societies like the US, so God fearing and moral, are so behind the rest of the developed world when it comes to things bodily and of a sexual nature. Many countries who are a whole lot less "religious" are much more practical, and enjoy a lower rate of unwanted pregnancies. I remember who France just shrugged and laughed over Clinto and Monica, and how Mitterand´s wife, daugher and mistress all attended his funeral. Time for the US to enjoy life a little and to butt out of other people´s lives.

I'm hoping someone more moderate is elected in Iran this summer, like Khatami, who has proven he can deal reasonably with folks outside their borders. But, the good President, when he says Israel "used the Holocaust as a “pretext” for aggression against Palestinians," is 100 per cent correct. Time to end the unaccountability of "israel's" victimhood. If they want to be accepted among civilized nations, then they have to behave like civilized nations.

Finally the debate has clarified the difference between Zionists, Jews and "israel". So the Iranian President is "a guy who supports insurgencies and terrorist groups?" That would put him in the same league as all of the signatories to the US Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution. "israel" is deserving of top spot on the list of racist and hating nations. It is an illegal entity on other peoples' land, without defined borders, a non-signatory to the NNPT without any IAEA controls of its 200plus nukes, and IMHO the single greatest threat, more than so-called Al Qaeda, pirates or even global warming, to humanity's survival.
