(For the record, I actually LIKE the USA, just hate its zio-misguided policies. When that changes I'll even visit again.)
Obama: Traitor to the Constitution and to the Oath of Office. The Patriot Act is the singularly most un-Patriotic piece of bad law ever signed.

An imaginary enemy of its own making living in their own country thousands of Km from US territory, and minding their own business. The real question, not asked here, is how many civilians are considered to be just collateral damage in this offensive (great description that) ? Or don't they matter? Amorality at best, US savage indifference at worst.

Whatever the reason, no doubt this is a painful loss. I can't help but think that the Osmond family bears striking similarities to the Kennedys, in terms of tragedies that have befallen them.

Too bad it all had to happen at all. The "US" might like it, but individual American families would give anything to have their loved ones back alive, or all in one piece. I'm really talking about the futility of this, and the other two, useless and senseless wars.

So, proud Americans, how many of your compatriots have died horrible deaths and face even worse lives crippled and maimed after fighting a foe which is now to form part of the national army their blood was spend destroying, and has now been reinstated with pride. Talk about al-Maliki being in your face!
When, Oh when, will you rebel against the criminals running your country, into the desert sands?

So a firm that makes far, far better cars than GM, Ford, or Chrysler–all government motors–has to be put through a show trial, with the judges a bunch of bribe-taking congressmen. The CEO, a man who has contributed greatly to the well-being of the human race, must be arraigned before war criminals?

Let's face it. The US is a dog-eat-dog society, the strong survive and the weak don't. That's what they've chosen. The rest of us are more enlightened and have universal health care in one form or another. Leave 'em to it!

Sorry, Grafton, you lost me right there. 272 UN Resolutions against it. Half of its current cabinet on Interpol watches and warrants in how many countries for war crimes and crimes against humanity. A new furor over its assassination projects using forged passports of neutral nations, a UN Commission which has just confirmed it's committing genocide using banned weapons, etc. etc. etc.

What abject hypocrisy! Where's the international outrage? Can you imagine if it was Iran amassing legions of drones capable of hitting Israel? We'd never hear the end of it, how the poor little only democracy (not true) in the middle east was under attack from those nasty Arabs. But when it's the other way round it's about the right to self defence! Call a spade a spade. The rogue nation here is the one which started two wars in the past five years, not the one which hasn't started one in almost 300 years!
Yeah, Sarge: Y O U!

Miki-chan, preparing the fans back home for a possible return without medals?
The Vancouver Sun, at http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/2010wintergames/medals/index.html is showing Japan with 1 silver and 2 bronze medals right now with what, 6 days to go? Time to collect all the little packages of tissues for the fans who head out to Narita to welcome back the 'heroes.' I predict a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth!

The unelected yet declared "President" Karzai, (whose nickname is the "Mayor of Kabul") obviously holds less and less sway in national politics in Afghanistan, as basically, the world and his country-wo/men simply ignore most of what he says these days, this issue being no different. He's just another of UNOCAL's oil buddies supervising a pipeline under construction. While his people die by the dozen by the drone.

My gut tells me that Tony Blair will have little progress to show for his efforts. The Palestinian people are experiencing their 42nd year of military occupation. The siege by the Israeli army and the economic blockade have devastated their daily lives so that ‘normal’ life is impossible. Israel operates an entrenched system of racial Apartheid against its own non-Jewish citizens and has been illegally occupying Palestinian land in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights since 1967. It has sought to further annex these lands and has systematically transferred its own civilian population into these occupied territories in contravention of international law. Israel continues to build the illegal Apartheid wall, annexing vast swathes of Palestinian land in the West Bank and creating Palestinian ghettos, despite the ruling of the International Court of Justice that it is illegal. 180 Palestinian organisations and unions, in response to Israeli onslaught, have called for a campaign of Boycott, Divestment and
I reckon israel-Palestinian Peace Talks will only succeed when israel feels it has too much to lose.

Hamas' stated position is that Palestinian land has been stolen, and its return non-negotiable, and a prerequisite for any deal with israel. Syria has the same position on Golan. Hamas is the legitimately elected government. Why is it unrealistic? It's no different than Japan's claim to the four Northern islands, or Takeshima? Why is it, just because it is a Palestinian claim, is it unrealistic? Justice is justice is justice, not just because Tel Aviv or Washington graciously concedes it. To even utter that sentence is to betray the lie behind it.

Sarge, let me introduce you to the concept of geography. USA....(remember Sesame Street?) over here.....and Afghanistan....over there!
If you (the USA) wasn't over there, they'd just leave you alone as they always have done. But your're not. You invaded their country over there, so they feel, justifiably so, compelled to send you back where you belong.
Which part of that don't you get? Why is it when YOU kill their families asleep in their beds without hesitation or remorse it's OK? But when they fight to defend themselves from an occupying army, it's not? You call it terrorism! But, Sarge.....the US is the invading and occupying force! (Remember Sesame Street.....over here.....over there!) It would be the reverse if the Taliban invaded Texas, but they didn't. You invaded Afghanistan, or don't you remember? This time around the US is the State Sponsor of Terrorism in Afghanistan! Hard to swallow isn't it?
