    ...a passionate kiss

Umm I doubt that very much. A passionate hold perhaps, but that all counts for squat when the lips are merely pushed together.

Lame. No idea about human touch.

My 5 years in Japan ruined me.

    She's a Heisei girl! Born 14 Feb 89.

That's a great picture of her, and here's 10,000 more!

Marry me. I know you've got a bit of time before you're 30, but marry me.

Lieutenant, Thank you for your kind teaching

Yeah no problem. It's why I go shopping, so I can be a big man and treat the staff like the dirt they are. There's no need to talk let alone acknowledge them at all. However upon leaving the store, make sure that your bag is acknowledged by complete strangers.

So, if one is greeted by an escalator girl, how does one respond?

If you want to be more Japanese, I suggest you ignore them completely. You're better than them.

McCain was a senator when Obama was still in school.

No, Obama was a senator when McCain was still in school.

Palin also repeated familiar campaign slogans, contrasting Obama as a tax-and-spend liberal with McCain as a fiscal conservative who will do more to help struggling families and small businesses

She sure did. When asked how Obama could possibly represent any kind of shift to socialism, she refrained from answering the question, but did say that McCain was better! And he's a reformer! And he's got the scars to prove it!

Excuse me, I have to organise my flight back to Alaska early November.

Clearly just more overhead that we all will pay for in the end.

Agreed. Not to mention the airhead.

For I have never heard of women accomidating prospective customers up and down escalators.

    Will they hold my hand?

Look the fact of the matter is that my relationship with these chicks is going to be a passing fad. They're not going down with me.

Mr. Wada got right stuck into Mona Yamamoto a few months back as well. Could be nothing more than self-loathe foreign sentiment that crops up after a few years in Japan.

Someone send the non-conformist at the end back to the training room. What you're just standing on the left and the right now? This ain't Kyoto or anything.

So why aren't they callled "Escalator Women"?

This is one of those times when sexism is to be encouraged.

And less importantly, how did these chicks get their jobs when they ride the escalators backwards? I mean this ain't Osaka or anything.

He should first acquire some economic credentials.

McCain should first acquire some economic credentials.

Sorry, just my usual copy and paste retort.

With airline attendants it's "Chicken or pork?" With these girls, it's just "Up or Down!"

Well you know the ol' saying - what goes down must come up.

The escalator girls will greet customers between 12 noon and 8 p.m. through Sunday.

    Duly noted.

Ground-based cabin attendant: Going down sir?

    Me (not you): Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

    Go India you Asian beast.

CNN just spewed out some more hypocritical claptrap about concerns the money could have been better spent on alleviating poverty. Too busy looking over your neighbours fence?

And have you ever tried hiding behind your computer screen? (I don't mean as a lifestyle choice) Newspapers are much lighter and can be adjusted with ease.

Can't you see that my brother festus and I are quite within our rights to dig a weapons pit in front of the United Airlines counter at LAX and string up a couple of claymores?

I'm cool with it. Will finally see some orderly lines.
