There are only 8 of them in the photo. Where are the other 48 members? Or is it 60?

@goddog: have you checked the level of brightness? It's the worst enemy of batteries. I keep mine the minimum possible: it saves energy and your eyes won't bloodstained.

I've no doubt the the iPhone could too.

How can you be so sure, if you don't own an Iphone? Stop guessing, ok?

NorthLondon: really? So, your world must be very small. For every Aussie I know loves sports, and soccer is one of them.

My list: 1. 2001, A Space Odyssey (the whole movie). 2. Titanic (the sinking is so real). 3. Ben-Hur (+1, the biga race, it took 6 months, 20,000 extras and the largest set ever built - everything without a trace of CGs). 4. An American Werewolf in London (the tension before the attack in the marsh is a lesson on suspense). 5. The Sound of Music (it looks so naive today, but the scenes showing the Alps were so...cool).

i don't understand if it's Microsoft, everyone will be calling it Evil! but if is the Fruit, then flash is bad!!.

Jobs made it clear that the problem with Flash is that it eats up the batteries of MOBILE devices, in this case, Iphone. And as long as I remember, Microsoft hasn't come up with a decent mobile device so far. So, MS shouldn't have any problem with Flash, whilst Apple doesn't want it to slow down Iphone's functionality. That simple.

I think that, in the end, Japan will fail, like a body without vital organs: its population. Something that India, China, Brazil, Russia and US don't have to worry about - no wonder they are going to be the richest nations soon. On the other hand, in the poor-to-be Club, we see Japan and Western Europe walking into bad times.

No doubt Japan is one of the safest countries in the world. But the other side of this safety is quite expensive: it is a bland country, in comparison to other more dangerous countries which on the other hand are fun.

IMO, US can inflate her population to more than 500 million inhabitants. That's the key for facing China and India in the near future, so I am for this proposed amnesty. On the other hand, Mexican violence must be dealt with a deadly blow right now and I am not sure if a fence will contain it.

paulinusa: you're partially right. I have never, ever watched a baseball game TILL the end. But, ask any non-US/Japan person how he/she sees baseball and you'll have exactly what I wrote above. There are other sports that have changed their rules, scoring system to be more palatable to digest, and they've been succesfull. Volleyball is one of them, for instance. Baseball is not easy to watch or understand. Why do you think it was dropped from the Olympics, while handball is there?

Problem is: baseball doesn't look like a sport at all to most people, because it doesn't have a clear target, an objective, like direct points, or a goal. It is quite confusing you are not born playing it. Plus, it's not easy to understand the score. Even archery can be more exciting to watch: you see clearly what the archer has to do in order to gain points, you can easily feel his tension and pull for him. Curling, cricket, water polo are more popular than baseball because they're direct, no frills. This is something baseball people should realize and change it, if they really want baseball to be popular. I associate Japanese baseball with the same excitement you feel when using an abacus. US baseball with guys saying "whassup" every 5 seconds and making poses for the TV, then swinging the bat and againg "whassup" and more posing. Change if you want to be globally popular. And, oh, that ball can really break your fingers - it doesn't help at all.

mrhyde, you're wrong my friend. Here's a local, good example: when I was in Japan, I had lessons with Japanese teachers, they were wonderful. Then I started studuying with an American girl. Man! She could explain kanjis, the subttleties of the Japanese culture in way that was so clear it was easier to learn. I bet here, on JT, there are some foreigners that can teach Japanese better than a Japanese teacher. For instance: a foreigner will speak openly about how Japanese deal with sex in a much clearer way than a Japanese teacher, because the latter will have barriers the former won't. I may be mistaken because I don't her personally. But I bet Cleo, from this very forum, is one of these foreigners that understand Japan better than Japanese themselves. The same works for other languages.

why it turned to MS hate news, i have no idea! the death, it's not a MS hate thing, it's just that Windows is a vulnerable OS, there's no way of not comparing it to other safer OSs.

though if I could actually afford a Mac, I would probably buy one. kokoro, I didn't understand you, Macs and PCs have almost identical prices.

I don't want that to happen, but it is that sense of "well Apple products never have problems" that just seems to set them up for it. It makes me nervous. Kind of like calling a ship unsinkable on the eve before its demise, haha. In a sense it will be a good thing, because then Macintosh OS will become safer and more reliable.

You're right RMs, but I am a guy who wears suits and Adidas, so you see, Aoki's (and the likes) suits give a correct touch to my informal look. And man, you're chic, I wish I could have my suits done on Savile Row. If you meet me, please pretend that my suit was done there too.

Japanese suits are great, they're second only to the originals from England. But you can't get half an inch of fat, or they won't fit you anymore. If you keep yourself in good shape, they model your torso in a sex way. Love them.

Yes Badsey, you're right. However whenever I have to open Windows, I check it with 4 different anti-viruses - that takes at least 2 hours - also when I have to use Windows, I disconnect it from the net. Actually, Windows became sort of a "file of dead files". I am going to erase it from BootCamp as soon as I am sure I don't need any of the things I keep stored there.

No programs to download for Apple = no viruses or need for virus scanners :p

I suggest you study a little more. Surely there aren't so many programs for Apple as for Windows. However, and that' a big however, programs for Apple work better and everything you do on Windows you can do better on Macs. That's a fact.
