    Adoptive grand-mother:

“This child is mentally unstable. He is violent and has severe psychopathic issues,” the letter said.

    Berber61:

Plus, there must be two heterosexual parents adopting, not some crazy old bat who owns a lot of cats or a single male with "gender identity" issues.

    Call it cheap psychology.

Poor child, it's clear the American mother is ready to adopt a fish, but not a cat, a dog, let alone a child - they require patience and love.

What really catches the eyes...is that it's so fake, so unnatural it becomes laughable...

To date I have never been in a circumstance when my smoking offended anybody

This is in the same level of "I don't think that my kids bothered anyone inside the plane, as no one complained..."

heck I only smoke a couple times a month and that's mostly on my porch and in cigar bars anyway.

Well, so you are a conscious smoker TheQuestion, and you are alone at that. Unfortunately. For if every smoker behaved like you, smoking woulnd't need to turn into an illegal activity, as it has.

TheQuestion: smokers should not smoke outside their home, out of education, respect for others.

I once watched a movie where this woman, chic, refined, smoked only inside her own bedroom. That's what educated people are taught to do. Don't force your tastes upon strangers.

The number of cardinals under the age of 80 and therefore eligible to vote in a conclave for a new pope—a cardinal’s principal responsibility—now stands at 108 and will dip to 101 by November from a possible total of 120.

It is important to point that among these 100 eligible are all those who are posing as victims of the "anti Catholic Church guerrila" - i.e. we may not expect changes inside Vatican.

That's not different from what happens in Hollywood: Celine Dion was not supposed to sink (pun intented) Titanic's main theme. Kate Winslet and Di Caprio also were not even in the list when production started. To be honest, this happens in every area. How many times someone you know, or even yourself, was not boycotted in your workplace due to misty reasons?

If this Pope does not want to be part of the Last Pope prophecy, then he will be smart and will call a Conclave, ASAP. The way it is right now, he will be blamed for everything his predecessors didn't have the courage to do.

The Vatican heatedly defended Pope Benedict XVI on Tuesday, claiming accusations that he helped cover up the actions of pedophile priests are part of an anti-Catholic “hate” campaign targeting the pope for his opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage.

This is ridiculous. It's the same as saying "hey, I shot him because he slapped me - it hurt a lot and my face is now red and I..."

    Where's the other's rights?

Right now I wouldn't buy it. But it may be like Iphone: everybody said it was useless, then everybody has one.

As for wi-fi in Japan, what about MacDonald's? They had it, for free, when I was living there.

a statement, posted on the archdiocese’s Web site, said. “Those working for renewal in the Catholic Church in Ireland did not need this comment on this Easter weekend and do not deserve it.”

Again, the church poses as the victim. Why don't they see it's time to face the facts and change what needs to be changed?

It always seems to be the right wingers and industry that refuse to accept anything that may impact their bottom line even if it kills.

Well, these deniers of climate change are not important anymore. They are a noisy minority claiming wrong something that's proven right, twice.

Thanks Skip, yes, it's the 2018/2022. I mistyped here. Yes, as I wrote before, security comes first. However, have you seen the debacle in Australia about their same 2018/2022 bid? One of the main points opponents of the bidding are hammering is this article in the Bid Book that FIFA asks governments to have relax customs and visa policies during the tournment. Something I don't see USA doing as it did in 1994 - when terrorism was a "european" thing, and that surely will cost US bid the African and Asian votes - given the nations on that list.
