I won't, I don't need to see it to know what is happening in that sad part of Japan.

Wasabi67, you should stop thinking "locally" and instead, take a look globaly. US has had the strong winter in decades, THIS YEAR. However what about the rest of the decade, and the previous years when people started realising winters are getting shorter and warmer, in general, even before this UN-panel findings? You, in Japan, should know better: it was recently published by Japanese government that winters are getting shorter, according to their research. Think globally: while US is having this strong winter in 2010, the rest of the world in the southern hemisphere is having the warmest summer in years too, and records being broken year by year. What I suggest to you in denial is: learn another language other than English. Chinese, Spanish, Arab languages and you will discover that there a lot of things happening in the world that don't come to the surface in English news.

Did you know for instance that this summer, Amazon had its warmest summer ever and giant rivers went dry. And that at the same time an are the size of Tokyo turns into smoke every summer in Brazilian Amazon and Indonesia, killing animals and plants that could be new medicines to serious diseases? And that only an international consensus could stop these two countries?

So, again, travel a little around the world. Leave your controlled temperature room and discover that yes, we're destroying our world.

I think the reason for March being the worst month is because it's when you see clearly what probably lays ahead of you the rest of the year, financially speaking. Add to this that corporate Japan (whole Japan, indeed) is a hard environment if you are spiralling down. Actually, it's hard even when you're doing well. That's why I don't see suicidals in Japan as mentally ill, they're just out of hope.

could you please direct me to where you got the facts that a "vast majority" of people agree with you and Ahmadinejad?

I got the fact from here, the JT forum. Btw, a yes/no survey among us would be great about this topic. Fake profiles need not vote, please.

Funny to see truthers making themselves dumber than they think Ahmadinejad is.

He may be wrong, or right. We'll probably never know. What he said is just his opinion, which by the way, is shared by a vast majority (which doesn't make it valid, btw). I agree with him: it was all a big lie - not the fact that the towers went down, but the fact that those men were behind 911. There's something bigger behind that catastrophe.

I think the real problem is bars. Or the lack of them. Lonely Japanese men spend much time at work, with workmates, or in front of computers. What they need is our western nasty habit of going out to real bars, not izakayas, and drink. I have so many good friends I met while sharing a beer for the first time. And this is something you don't see J-men doing.

At the same time I feel "revenged" by their winning, I also feel ashamed of myself. For, how can I feel outraged seeing those poor dolphins being killed while I am having a beef and other meats everyday?

Shame on Japan, shame on us.

I have just read that Thai Airlines will delay the operation of three brand-new Airbus and Boeings, an A380 Airbus among them, due to false data on safety provided by the Japanese manufacturer of airplane seats, based in Yokohama, that could lead to fatal accidents inside the cabin even if the body would stay intact in an emergency situation.

You guys defending your truth, e.g. Kinniku, TheQuestion among others, are an example of internet-Ahmadinejads. Let the world know your opinion, and shut up. People will either agree with you or not. Stop trying to convince people of your opinion.

And you are out of focus, stop also talking about Ahmadinejad's personality. Talk about 9-11 facts, or the lack of them.

Yes, when you see all the vids, you see Bush's reaction, you see that all he had on his heart was a war against Iraq to honor his father and bring oil/money to US military industry, AND you realise little by little along 8 years that the man is a natural liar...it's not hard to believe it was all concerted.

Cyborg, I don't know if I am correct, but open bagagge is an airport problem (ground staff), and has nothing to do with airlines. I had my bagagge open in two occasions: NY-JFK and Milan. In NY I missed small things - design pencils!! (I wonder what would someone steal that for).

The Revenge Of The Employees: isn't there a blacklist that employers have been using for decades in Japan, based on Japanese surnames? And that if one's surname is on that list no company will hire him/her?

Sad, but it's an option they choose. Japanese staff really should behave like their American colleagues: say nothing, just come close to customer when asked. But the high heels thing is really an absurd.

My 8-year-old is asking if you guys know how much an ATC salary is? He is thinking about applying with FAA or perhaps Delta - if it's ok to have kids on ATC towers, then soon they will piloting planes with their pilot dads too.

Kinniku, be serious. An ATC tower is not a place for a kid to be pretending to be in command.

Kinniku, you mean a child in a high security place such as an ATC tower giving orders under the view of an adult is acceptable if a fatal mistake does not take place? So, according to your line of thought, it's ok then to have a child taking care of traffic on a national highway, or bullet trains. You kidding! Tell us what you work with, so we can perhaps avoid a fatal or finacial catastrophe where your 7-year-old son is taking care of your business
