@TokyoTanuki: AFAIK, in percentages "once" is equal to "one time more", which is 100% (1+100%= 2). "Twice" means "two times more", which is 200% (1+200%=3). My math may be wrong, I stand to be corrected if this is the case.

Twice in this case means 200% more radiation than previously reported. It's frightening.

Here's one of the many articles about the Samsung confused lawyers:

Just two days ago Samsung embarassed lawyers couldn't tell the difference between an iPad and their Galaxy Tab, 10 feet away from the judge holding both tablets on each hand. This tells all about Samsung. If I was about to buy an iPhone and I was unable because of Samsung, I swear I would throw a heavy stone on their car or window shop. Samsuck. Tech losers, that's what this Korean company is.

@ they (bloggers mainly) felt "disappointed" because they created RUMOURS, that gradually started looking like FACTS. iPhone 5? This is yesterday's rumour. They already "creating" functions, apps and designs for iPhone 6. Yes, 6. We are still to put our hands on the 4S and they're talking about 2 models ahead.

JTA should make this 10,000 program eligible for first time tourists (in Japan, I mean) only. I agree Japan has to do something to boost tourism, but this program will come and go and the number of tourists will not raise as they - bureaucratically - dream. What they should do was to advertise, heavily, in TV commercials. Do you know what I last saw about Japan on TV? "3/11 Tsunami: Six Months Later" and "Fukushima". No real motivation to visit Japan.

@Michael J. Morris: people are not ordering the 4S because of Jobs death. I recommend you research the Siri function that most people don't understand so far. But it is the next big thing about technology, wait a few weeks and see.

I watched a TV anchorman saying that Jobs is admired by people he never met because he was the face of the technologies that made our lives easier. He, for instance, was visionary when he made the touchscreen technology available to the masses, at a time that a few geeks could understand and use it in laboratories. The iPhone was crucial to make him popular: all of a sudden the everyday work became easier for those who use one. And, of course, the elegant design of an iPod or iPhone was perhaps the only truly elegant item a person would have. Jobs made efficiency and beauty available to the masses, that's why he is so popular.

I heard that and I agree 100%. RIP Steve.

I think that Apple made a big mistake: why didn't they say earlier that there wouldn't be an iPhone5 this year? Such an announcement would have killed all the rumours and the iPhone "5" 'features' bloggers were creating every two minutes, with crazy expectations. I even read that the iPhone 5 would have a holographic keyboard! The power of rumours can be devastating for a company. Anyway, from what I read the 4S is a superb smartphone. Now I am ready to upgrade from my 4 to 4S, in my family there will be at least 10 buyers for this X-mas.

So many Apple/Jobs haters here, I don't understand why. First, he is a human being. He deserves our wishes to get well. Second, his helped a lot mankind - in the technology field - to advance in huge steps. I may say that my computer life is divided in two parts: before and after Macintosh.

Here's my "PC-Mac" experiente: I first set my iMac half Windows, half Mac, for I didn't know how to use Macs. But after one week I gradually started using the Mac side more and more, and eventually erased Windows from the machine for good. The only program I had to use on Windows was a forex one, but eventually I got a Mac version of it. Windows, it was good, excelent, vital to me until I discovered Macs. Now I have three machines, all Macs, most of my friends too are changing to Apple. The ones who havent' yet, they are planning to do so after they experienced iPhones and had the chance of handling Apple's software. The thing about Apple is that when you have one of its devices, you don't complain about them. Quite the contrary, I am one who recommend Apple to whoever asks me about Macs, iPhone or iPad. Never had a single problem with one of them. They may not be 100% perfect, but they are the best in the market. Oh, and the most cool too.

I want to congratulate both teams for the great show that was this match. Both deserved to win, they played with a passion that was contagious. I am surprised to discover that this World Cup was so exciting. I wish I could see all the matches again - some made me smile the rest of the day, especially the wonderful victory of US over Brazil. And now Japan came from behind 2 goals to win the Cup. Omedeteou gozaimasu Japan!! I am sure the Americans do not feel bad for losing for this brave team. I am sure Japanese people are a little happier this morning!!
