I think they are not telling the truth. Yes, one may get distracted when surfing the net. But, for 91 straight minutes? Didn´t they at least once raised their eyes from the screen, or couldn´t hear the chimes or the radio? Or didn´t need to change positions, to use the toilets? To me they were on something nastier than what they are telling. One can only wonder...

My opinion is that Japanese men don´t get a life of their own. It belongs to The Company. Whose sacho and colleagues are all powerful intimidating females.

He hammered down these 3 poor nails who dared to stick out, live on TV. Talk about not having personality, or not being allowed to. Sad.

Obama deserved it only by being the opposite of Bush and his friends.

And it´s meaningful that in the same week he got the Prize, UNO is officially launching an investigation on Rumsfeld, the loved liar.

    The world woke up, Republicans.

Congratulations Mr. President! Yes, a little too early, but he´ll deserve it.

it´s a sign of the new times, that are arriving: S. America and Africa are here too, to stay.

Chicago lost it because of the Atlanta fiasco, and the IOC is a little anti-American for a little while.

Tokyo lost it because all TVs around the world reminded us that 8 km inside Tokyo would be compact hell, not compact Olympics. Add to this recipe the clear notion that foreigners have that they are not well wished in Japan.

Madrid lost it becasue it would´nt make sense to have two Games in Europe, in a row.

And Rio got it, because their video was very emotive, S.America never had it and IOC doesn´t want to lose space to FIFA, who goes to Africa and other continents without problems.

    Congrats Rio!!

Thank you guys for teaching me about solar power. I had this idea that a panel could provide enough energy to make a car run for some hundreds of meters, or some kilometers. But despite all the cons, this car is a triumph in my opinion. It´s the first step to clean cars. I am sure more innovative, efficient and cheap cars are on our way.

If the accident was caused by the Pitot tubes, then Airbus/Boeing MUST redesign it. At least 10 accidents were caused by their malfunctioning, including that bizarre one that the Pitot tubes were blocked by a wasp and that brought a plane down. A wasp crashed an airplane thru the Pitot tube! Isn´t it unbelievable?

Don´t understand why these electric/hybrid cars don´t solar panels on their roofs.

Cuba won´t return to OAS so soon because of what Cubans suffered with the embargo imposed by the US, and approved by their hermanos countries. At one point Cubans didn´t have toiled papers, soap, toiletries, food, energy. It hurt they feelings. It will take sometime until they can forgive OAS and US.

UsaRonin: LIN, that minority has been bombin' Britain, Spain, Indonesia, the Philippines, etc, nevermind what's goin' on in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I have no answer, but I've already seen that what you think will work, won't, because it hasn't.

The other minority has also bombed other human beings, civilian ones, so it´s zeroed. And it hasn´t work because no serious peace talkings have taken place so far. Bill Clinton could have reached a solid agreement if he had thought with just one head instead of two. And GWB? I am sure he is unhappy today, not for all the lies and the wars. He is unhappy he didn´t have enough time to start the World War IV. So, our hopes are Obama. And he has not reached much so far, but he will. If you turn CNN on now, you will see positive reviews from all over the world for this visit and speech.

    sushisake3:

Why make peace when war is more profitable? :-)

Sad, but true. Hopefully this is going to change. I am amazed with what this administration has done in only 6 months. Cuba back on the map. Talks of two states in Palestina. Visit, and positive results so far, to Islamic countries.

yeah UsaRonin, there are extremista. Both sides, by the way. Of couse, any peace agreement will have to ignore those in favor of a mojority (including the rest of the world) that wants peace.

USARonin: he said the Israel is a solid partner and that the solution for the conflicts is two states: a Palestinian and an Israeli. To me, he is being realistic. That´s the only way for peace in the Middle East. Israel is going to stay, and a Palestinian state will be build.

CNN reviewed it as a pale movie in comparison to the T1 and T2 sequels. As for Bale, his performance was obscured by the machines´s talents. eheh.

I am sure Americans must be proud of Mr Obama, at least he is not spending their money (and their son´s, grandson´s and grandgrandson´s too) in wars based on lies. Does this speech make America safe? No. America never will be safe given the international policy it has been using for decades. But it sounds good, to have a world leader trying to solve problems thru talking instead of wars. Of course, there are the always whinning ones: republicans, chenneyists, bushists, the war industry, the military, the kkk, all the usual pro-war groups.
