JT, out of curiosity can you tell us what is the theme you're using now? Was it order built?

So sad, to be old, fragile and having no one to ask, say, to brew you a tea, or to buy you a medicine. This is something they are taught to do, and teach the young ones.

I am one who watched three 3D movies, and no more. They caused me sickness, and I felt a little dizzy afterwards.

It's a sexy photo, that's all. Politically he'll survive. As for his marriage...

Japan would need to have large, deep rivers to make hydroelectric energy viable. But as many have pointed, waves can be a good source. I would say that the best options would be: the combination wind and solar energy during different seasons (e.g. solar energy during summer, wind energy during winter).

It feels good. I take hugging as a "nice to meet you" or "I will miss you" message. What I have learned is that an Italian hugs like he/she is almost in love with you, while a Japanese will hug like you have thorns - carefully, cold, distant.

@ tmarie: the GPS thing I wrote was 2 years ago. By now they can be tracked inside the toilet thru their smartphones GPS.

Another thing that I found absurd was the forced "rei" thing: in two companies I worked we - we foreigners, I mean - were taken along the Japanese staff to the small shrine inside the building and we had to bow in front of the shrine, twice a year. I really didn't care, I did it because I am open-minded when it comes down to religion, but I don't think this should be forced to people who don't even understand what shintoism is.

I worked for a company where we had to write down what we did the last 30 minutes in a paper and we had to explain why we did this or that. Smokers had to write how many minutes they took smoking. At a friend's company it got even worse: cars had an online GPS system and when they had to visit a client, if they they stopped in a convenience store to use the toilet, they had to explain this to their boss, in minutes.

From Russia to New Mexico? In a non-stop flight in a small craft, in the 1950s? Isn't it a bit too much? I do believe in aliens, but this is really a stretch.

Honestly, I don't think Japanese men can be called metrosexuals. I think the likes of Beckham fit the image best - well tended, impeccably dressed and MASCULINE, which, to me, a sine que non condition to keep him attractive and sexy. Japanese men, on the other hand, are also well tended, impeccably dressed, but they're so feminine that the overall result is what we see on the streets: they're closer to look like modern clowns out of Cirque du Soleil having a day-off instead of looking sexy - which is the target they can't achieve.

Yeah, I agree that having dinner with Bush should be something of a nightmare. Obama at least behaves like a gentleman.

There's something wrong with Israel. Time to fix it. Israelis had more than 50 years to do that, but they only made things worse.

What a tragedy! It was because of news like this that I waited for the next train instead of getting on a crowded car.

@goddog: I don't know which version of the iphone you have, but in some tech forums you'll learn that a recent upgrade eats your battery faster. When Apple realised that they released a fixed upgrade. Google it, I don't remember the details by heart, but this happened to some friedns of mine. Now it's all ok with their iphones.

NV200 was picked up because it has the technology to go electric. That's more important than design. I wonder why Ford couldn't come up with a hybrid or a EV.
