It´s funny how there are some stubborn people who keep, again and again, confusing his 100 first days with the last 8 years of the last administration.

It's like Stock Aitken Waterman from the 80's - man was that dross!!

Now you´re not connecting points here. Stock Aitken may sound dross for you, but their acts were #1 world rankings at the time. You can´t compare SA with Japanese pop, there´s no way. By the way, the 80s´ synthpop wave was great. Where in the world today can you find acts so beautiful as Simple Minds, for instace?

So far, he´s doing great. He is working hard to make US again a respected nation. His diplomacy have done 3 great points in 100 days: 1) morally, he is bringing US and the world to discuss politic terrorism (torture); 2) bringing enemy nations to discuss peace (instead of creating and nourishing lies, such as WMD); 3) leading US in a new world round on environment. If he keeps this pace, he is gonna be the best US president.

I sometimes wonder why he (Dick Cheney)loved having men tortured?

Because he is an evil man, a liar and a lie-supporter. Just remember how fiercely he defended the WMD lie, even having the inside knowledge from CIA that such weapons didn´t exist. He is a man that would show his evil personality in whatever situation. If he were a doctor, surely by now he would have been prosecuted for malpractice, for instance. The world is just unlucky to have had him as the 2nd leader of powerful US.

Let's protect the kids from all this NOW!

Sorry Alffrom, it can´t be done NOW. Because I have a happy-hour at 18:00 with some friends from Australia and a handsome Danish man I am sort of dating since my last girlfriend. lol.

This ojichan knows nothing. Even in the middle of this crisis, US is a paradise close to the life foreigners lead here in Japan.

    Alffrom:

lostinNagoya: A man of the cloth would not lie about such a serious subject would he!

Ok, Alffrom, do you mean one of those men of the cloth that every now and then are in the spotlight for sexual abuse, against minors, inside their own church? Or one of those who preaches against homosexuality for years and then is caught jer**ng off one of his friends? Give me a break. It´s ok to be against same-sex marriages, but come to discuss it with solid knowledge, or a solid opinion. Not a weak one based on ¨I saw on TV...¨

And do you believe in Snow White as well?

Good to see someone as respected as Al Gore taking the lead in this matter. America can and will lead the world to make the necessary changes.

I hope the commenters here are smart enough to realize that this film was made with Japanese cooperation and stars two well known Japanese actors.

So, and what? Does this mean that Japanese finally will have the truth uncovered and admitted? I smartly doubt so. This movie will be edited or censored, I also smartly think.

I don´t understand you people who already are volunteers, saying you are having a hard time with volunteering and receiving some money at the same time. Does it hurt? I have volunteered under these terms and it helps a lot. With subway and train tickets, for instance. And if you feel uncomfortable with receiving some money while volunteering...well, you can always give this money away for charity funds. Or the homeless close to you home. I am sure he/she will be happy to have some food that day. Open your mind, people!

To me, it´s the same as asking ¨why natto have a hard time succeding in the US market?¨. J-artists can not be successful outside Japan. It´s a matter of taste. I can´t not even imagine a crowd of American boys dancing or really enjoying, say, (whatever. I can´t remember one single J-pop name)...

Have some pieces from Uniqlo, only for sleeping and cleaning the house. Their designs are sizes are awful.

C´mon. Have you ever read an Esquire? I have. And it´s boring. Unless you are the type who can´t sleep if you don´t get, tomorrow, the latest boston bag that perhaps other 10 men in the world already have. Another problem is that you have these cheap magazines in every conbini with the same bag on their pages (that´s why you see Js wearing exactly the same thing everybody else is wearing). The Army of Fashion Victims.

I didn´t understand the ¨supermodel¨ title. I doubt she has posed for important magazines, outside Tokyo.

help them get richer. Rich citizens tend to be better informed, then Taliban can have an oposition from inside. Instead of from outside, which didn´t or won´t work.

Latest reports (can't supply links right now but will keep trying) say Rice, Rumsfeld, Slam Dunk Boy himself right up to Darth and "W" ALL signed off on this. Off with their heads!

I saw it on CNN. It´s really disgusting how these high ranking lawmakers and politicians allowed US go immoral.

Good news that Obama is departing from Bush´s stance on environment. I am witn Sushisake on this: we should think of now, but of future. Say, 50 years from today. Yesterday, on NASA´s images from Hubble, there was a map predicting that some parts of the world will be 8 degree Celsius **hotter!! **than today. The Americas and Australia the most affected areas. Can you imagine a summer of 350 days, at 50 C? In America? It´s never too early to do something about environment. In my opinion, US could set the pace with four measures: 1) start using ethanol, which is green and cheaper than gasoline. 2) wind farms near windy cities close to the coast. 3) green roofs - which is something individuals are already doing by themselves. 4) on a global level, a meeting prohibiting fires that are used for harvesting sugar-cane, the prime source of ethanol. This is happening in Brazil, for instance. All the clear air that ethanol does not pollute, farmers there pollute themselves with these fires.

...The bill also ties volunteer work to money for college...

Volunteers doesn´t get a salary, they may get benefits. Or they don´t get anything at all, except a smile or a thank you - which is a good thing.
