I am against. Being a kardecist and spiritualist, I believe that from the moment of the fecundation, there´s life there. Abortion is a sad action, and everyone involved in it will have serious problems in the afterlife.

Nice try, but what else can they do besides pointing you where the escalator is? My guess is that they will do only the basic info no one needs or wants.

Tigermoth: LostinNagoya I take offense in your remark. What nation of geniuses do you hail from? Let's take a look at your leader's decisions. A sum of a nation is not always reflected in those who lead it - life isn't that simple.

@tigermoth: I am really sorry and I apologize. My idea of non-geniuses applies to all those who voted for GWB twice, or once - being sincere. And a lot of Americans voted against him. So, I correct myself again.

A sad man who led a nation of not so smart people - what other explanation for his re-election? Now that America will harvest what he sowed, we may say:

    ¨Americans had it coming¨.

The same old song: they believe Japan is a example to the world. The sad thing is that, as unbelievable as it may seem, there are a lot of Japs that DO agree with Aso´s words.

They work a lot, that´s true. But man, they know how NOT to enjoy life. Is this the point?

    RIP.

I do not understand all the fuzz about the JT headline. It may be not sophisticated, but it is much better than the plastic headlines you see in The Japan Times - which seems to be written by Japanese who can type in English. Those who are shocked, visit TJP and probably you will see something like this "kawai talent died embracing bear Pooh".

It will be interesting to watch the battle between England, Australia, Benelux, Spain/Portugal, Russia, China, Qatar, USA, Mexico AND Japan to host 2018 or 2022 World Cup. I would like to see Australia hosting 2018. Their energy and joy during Germany 2006 were contagious. But any of these nations, and their people, deserve to host it. In my opinion, after 2002, Japan realized it was good to take part in world activities other than economic ones.

This remake received 76 negative reviews out of 100, in a closed pre-premiere session. Negative points: lots of computer graphics and a genuine lack of tension that the first movie carried - even with the cardboard robot and all.

Another ¨Independence Day¨ - much ado for nothing.

This article is true. I have seen it on The Japan Times. The success of this bra is closely related to wish of J-men of appearing more well-built, stronger, even if they have to make use of bras and eteceteras.

No more Thai Airways then. Better change to a more friendly company.

this is really sad. I have friends from tens of different countries here in Japan, and Brazilians here are some of the funniest, nice and warm people around. But there are rotten apples in the bucket, and they say they are really ashamed of news like this.

What I really don´t understand is why GOP voters defend their peers WRONG acts so fiercely, even if they are crystal clear. And worse, they try to make them sound RIGHT. Ostriches with their heads in holes? One can defend the leaders they worship. But there´s a point where common-sense comes into play, and common-sense has to be the judge. Or one is risking to be a complete fool.

Big problem is that these sports are not popular oustide a limited number of coutries. Take baseball for instance: only USA and Japan have a significant number of fans and support. Can you imagine a baseball game between, say, Holland and Peru? I can´t, God forbid. The best picks would be karate and roller sports, which are practiced around the globe and would attract TV and public, which is what really matters in today´s Olympics.

¨Without creating any child following the law of nature, I don't think gays have any commitment or concern about the future of this planet or the humanity at all. They have opted to just push their rights for their own pleasure and satisfaction for their life time only. The ability and the possibility of creating another human being to carry on our dream and aspiration into the future has been the most fundamental and magical quality in our civiliztion.

I think gays need some basic humility before the law of nature.¨

mtt, you´re wrong about this. There are nice people out there, gays included, who really care and can do something good to our world. Sure, gays can´t bring a child to this world, but that doesn´t mean that they can´t adopt, and bring up one. There are so many children in orphanages dreaming of a family, a house, and many many couples dreaming of giving a child a chance of a good, happy life. Don´t be so incisive about this.

Living with another man (I really don´t like the word ¨gay¨) for four years now, I am very happy as is my partner and we really don´t care about marriage - what really matters is the legal aspect and the respect we get from our families and friends, I think. As for the religion aspect, we are Christians, we pray everyday and we are blessed with a good life, and we don´t fancy of walking hand in hand through a church - and most of our hetero friends don´t fancy marrying either. Marriage is more than that, in my opinion. I have some friends who are not even sleeping because of what happened in Calif, and despite respecting them and their opinions, I think they are way too neurotic about this. They are what I once read ¨professional gays¨: they can´t be happy with what they already have. They are those who keep provoking discreet men and women who want to live a quiet life with a partner of the same sex, just like those who can´t accept that Anderson Cooper is married to another man, that he is happy and has a good life - just because he doesn´t want to come out. What these professional gays really want is to abandon discretion, and other people to accept that. They want to overflood. I think that´s the reason why californians said no to the referendum. People, gay, bi and the rest should know that even inside the rainbow movement, there are gays who are not happy with this sort of ¨professionalism¨. In my opinion, the tougher this movement gets, more NOs are coming our way.

And that was an OFFICIAL survey, published by the government itself. What it shows is that the central government is trying hard to bring tourists to Japan, but the base of the business pyramid is not ready at all - and as the survey shows, don´t want to be ready either. Only the

IMO, Japan should be more flexible when issuing tourist visas. Just like in other Asian countries where tourism is really strong, such as Cambodia, Thailand, etc...Sure, it would bring a lot of problems, but in the long run it would bring a ¨on vacation¨ atmosphere that Japan doesn´t have at all, which on the other hand would bring even more tourists.
