@ Cleo: Go to the bottom menu bar. It is on the right side. Blue folders. Three are there. Applications/Documents/Downloads. Downloads is the manager.

Like Cleo, I tried to understand what happened to JeffLee. I have no idea what happened to him, never saw a "download manager". Downloading with a Mac is not easier or more difficult than doing it with Windows: 1. you click "download", 2. a "transfer" area appears with the current status of the task, 3. when it's finished you just open it from the "transfer" area. Simple as that. My guess is that JeffLee's friend just wasn't used to a Mac, the same way I am not used to Windows anymore. When I have to use Windows I just keep complicating simple tasks - I just can't remember how Windows works.

They're the EIGHTH best ???? Yeah,congratulations...the 7 above just dont have that kind of genius...

I agree with you on that: they don't have that kind of genius. Despite being ranked #8 without Ipad, Apple is the most valued tech company (U$330 billion against 2nd Microsoft U$228 bln). Apple's magic the other top seven companies are desperate to learn: how to sell less products with a higher price, and yet, having people dreaming of getting one, be it a Macbook, an Iphone, an Ipad.

Once you use Apple, there's no other brand that can make you feel 'part of it'. It's more thatn a brand, it's an status.

    Call it good marketing.

They should work on a new kind of gadget instead of trying to rival Iphone and Android. Waste of time.

After their accountants calculated how much more money Australia would bring into the Asian federation. If we are going to base our national identities on TV money and ticket sales, then lets have Brazil into Europe and the USA in South America. Brazil and England - 2 good teams representing Europe with pride.

North, Brazil in UEFA is way too much. But I don't see any problems in the merging of South, Central and North Americas into a single competition. Australia did the right move, and I think that NZ should to the same: play soccer in Asia. Is it about money? Yes, of course. But it's also about 11 men defending their country's honor. In this aspect, I think Australia was wise.

I have another question: who is paying the unbelievable 1.5 trillion dollars Bush Era debt now? I have the answer: you, your children, your future grandchildren, your company, your boss, your employees...

My advice: don't buy these 3D things, soon holographic images will be available. It creates a 3d image without the discomfort that anaglyph images cause.

I have to agree with Sephysys, no matter what economics we talk, it's quite clear that the only ones that can bring Japanese economy to a robust life is its population. Japan should open its doors to foreigners, entire families, it's the only way to save its economy.

No beauty anywhere in seppuku, only if you're reading it safely in your local Starbucks. In Shogun, there's a description of a seppuku which is just horrible. While there was a festive air surrounding the ceremony, it never could make the horrendous act something to be admired: before being beheaded, the samurai had to thrust the knife, rip his belly side-to-side, make it return to the point where it started. Gaahh!

Frungy: you haven't seem the whole picture, or you wouldn't think that way. One BIG, SERIOUS problem is them making a troubling employee vanishing from the face of the earth. You doubt that? I don't. My Brazilian boyfriend once told me of a mate of his that worked in a Izakaya (and was friends with "the guys") who just disappeared, to this day. His family keeps publishing "missing" ads in Brazilian newspapers, after more than 10 years since last hearing from him.

In other countries, the 70,000 commuters would get into a brawl themselves. I agree that there's one BIG idiot. Why push the emergency button if they were quarreling in the platform?

The worst point of these leaks are not diplomatic secrets he releases, but the personal damage he caused or will caused to innocent people who will have debris falling on their heads.

The way Wikileakis is escalating the level of secret data, soon we may expect citizens' personal info leaked as well: bank account data, tax payers info, drivers license etc... Everything that the government touches could be released under the excuse of "freedom of press".

Just saw on TV this morning that Brazil very likely will buy tens of France's Mirage, despite a strong American lobby for USA's F-16. They said Wikileaks is not the major factor, but Assange helped the French side a lot.

I wonder how many American workers will have a poorer Christimas next year thanks to Assange.

Wikileaks is far from worst offender on the list.

Right. However, Assange managed to make those offenses even more offensive. It's not the words that hurt, it's the way they're said. Wikileaks just missed a golden opportunity of becoming the oracle of truth in the web. If Assange was this smart guy he is said to be, he would have edited the personal comments or the more sensitive stuff. It would show some sort of professionalism. The way he did it, it's just like throwing s**t on the vent fan. No wonder, he's making more enemies than friends. I surely would keep my mouth shut next to this guy, not reliable at all.

In the long run, Wikileaks will cause more damage than benefits with the publication of the cables: expect some sort of official internationa joint-action that will affect the wat we use the internet. IMO, the publication was just like reading out loud personal letters relatives write one another. What's the use?

    Democracy can not mean embarassment.
