I have been bullied before by men who have low self esteem and incurable life complexes because they could not deal with relationships with the opposite sex, I mean people with low social status, usually ignored by the opposite sex and who could never win any attention due to their mediocrity, so such men develop severe desire to hurt inncent women like me :) But I say to myself they are not real men, so please ignore them... I would like to teach this girl to ignore the bullies, they will never grow and should never be regarded as real men worth of a second of attention ...

i really recommend you the movie Akunin. There are these men in the movie who cannot find real life girfriends, so they pay to women on dating sites. Once they pay the money, women treat them well, praise them and smile, it is the saddest thing in the world, praying for love and once the men get it it is fake because it is paid. And these pitiful men feel happy for 30 min in their life. This movie describes Japanese society at its best.

what a narrow-minded opinion. Luckily the japanese filmmakers didn't bother with your opinion, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see such excellent examples of psychological drama as the above mentioned Japanese movies. Recently I try to escape as much as possible from the stereotipical Holliwood movies and watch real human movies made in Asia. It is so refreshing.

I also think that it was the best Japanese movie last year and should have been nominated for Oscar instead of Confessions. The story is heart wrenching. I wanted the main character to find some happiness, his life was too horrible and dreary to be true. I guess there are so many lonely people like him in Japan trying to find somebody through dating sites... the ending was so tragic and powerful... very moving and unforgettable, i wish it was not so dark. i didn't want police to discover that he was the killer, he is the only murderer whom I do not see as a murderer but a victim for whom I have sympathy and compassion.

Actually how are these people dumb?
The applicant seems quite a smart woman. She won't get the job but it is ok because most probably when she gest pregnant they will fire her anyway.
This means he simply was busy with university, family or hobby and uses all his available time for something useful. It doesn't mean that he is dumb. Most probably he is smarter than the company president.
again this is not dumb, this is called style, time management and resourcefulness. It is dumber to wear a suit in 40 degrees heat.

PS. Actually I read the reviews of his book in amazon. There is one good conclusion from one reader, he wrote that obviously if you have little brain, it is not hard to lift yourself up from a homeless situation...

Ichihashi committed a horrible crime because his pride was hurt when he was rejected. Men who are rejected can be extremely mean... but the bottom line is, even if you do good or the opposite - use force, once she has rejected you, the woman will never accept you because she simply doesn't like you. So it is better to admit your defeat, heal our broken hear and go on with your life. Ichihashi did wrong and ruined his life and that of Lindsay ... just because of hurt pride or obsession. people who do not accept defeat end up loser writing memoires in jail.

I need therapy after reading, hearing or noticing anything about stalkers. i have been stalked before and am full of dread and horror. I have developed severe paranoia but it is a result not from instable mental state but the result of cruel criminal intent of wrong doers... :( So I hope you understand my sensitivity on this terrible subject.
