Heh I like the humourous names from OZ.

I have a can of OZ's "stop smoking you bastard" (anti-smoke engine additive) as a souvenir on my desk...

    Tuto malo Francesco...pauverino.

Thanks for the translation US I just read it in French it seems similar.

Un-believable that a self-serving coward could be inm charge of that vessel. I've been in some tight situations before and always remarked that some people you didn't much care for shined in a moment of human desperation.

An apparent disgrace he seems. The coastguard's disgust understanderble. Next the captain will be pleading he can't swim...

    "They" don't do facts.

Once Romney has the nomination, he's going to be raked over the coals by the democrats. On his sixth attempt, hell, he deserves it. But it is not going to be a pretty sight.

Tis a disgrace a Vietnam vet is living on the street, let alone a battle-crazy Iraq vet running around slaughtering an easier target found in the homeless.

For how many years will the side-effects of George W's war continue to chalk up a bodycount?

Iran ganged up on, beat and murdered her own people demanding change and "death to the dictator" so who cares what the radical left, or the mullah's say.

It promising to hear the locals growing a pair and even more to see China realizing the inevitable.

As usual, as in Syria, it's the Russian bear stopping the international community from bringing Iran's despotic regime to it's knees.

Obviously a report about Chinese human rights abuse makes me want to lash out at America.

    It makes perfect sense.

" Course the the Republicans came back 2 years later, stronger then ever."

People were expecting Obama to waive a wand and fix 30 years of Americans living beyond their means instantly. The Republicans didn't have a program then, nor do they no, other than abject opposition to everything. Unfortunately, unicorns just don't exist. If you want to analyse the state of the Republican partry, just look at the candidates that have been wheeled out.

The GOP can't not have a candidate so the bottom of the barrel are fighting it out for the nomination to eventually grasp last place. Not one of these candidates can beat Obama IMO no matter what his performance has been like, so I imagine any serious contender is biding their time for 2016. If the party still exists in it's current form that is.

That's because you're introducing the term cancer willi.

The Euro isn't the problem in itself, the problem is the way that is was implemented from the start, mixed with the kind of accountancy from certain mamber states that would land you or I in jail for a considerbale term . Obviously, the total and utter abuse of the system by fat-cat Euro deputies pillaging the coffers doesn't help either. I don't know if any of you have seen this German reportage, I think you can fix the subtitles in English but even if you can't it's worth watching it just to see how truly these people have been taking us all for a ride:

" Time to get my nails done."

That's the attitude of our autocrat "deputies". Punch in on a morning for 15k tax free a month and then bog off for a day of golf or whatever it is these people do. The biggest scam of the 20th century.

It's almost amusing reading some people's gloating about the trouble in the eurozone. The problems will effect everyone if the euro goes tits up.

Being a bitter and vindictive back-stabber is seemingly the key to success for the GOP nomination. Huntsman actually did seem a decent bloke so no wonder he's throwing in the towel.

Romney would have been better giving all the money he's spunked over the years to charity instead of a final loss to Mr Obama.

I'm amused to see the international press talk about Sarko's alleged austerity measures.

Heh, what did they like debate it in the senate for 10 minutes before breaking for a four hour lunch at 600€ per head on taxpayer centimes?

Give me a break, short of a second revolution our a slap of Reality we're just slipping further down the slope.....

"The article is textbook bias. To wit, it starts off "When Rick Santorum stood in front of voters at a yacht club", a yacht club? Nice lead in to get that "rich fat cat Republican meme going."

So basically you're un-happy that the reports mentions Rick rubbing up to the high-rollers, Sail?

"Wasnt the Bush era destroying the car industries and a lot of other things :P"

They were destroying themselves, catering to a deluded national market that was bent on retaining hopelessly un-economical and unreliable vehicles. For once Bush isn't to blame.

Expecting to see any of the neocons in the dock is as likely as meeting Santa on Christmas day.

There may have been a certain stability under Saddam but it's un-fair to call his regime "mighty stable". I have a sneaky feeling things will, eventually get better - especially if they could manage to exclude their religions from any sort of decision making just like every country should. Lacism rocks.

And besides, things have massively improved since the dark days of 2006 at the cost of huge loss of life, including many American kids- it just isn't happening quick enough. The PNAC and the Bush ju,ior administration have a lot to answer for, but they never will, trust me on that. The reasons for invading we utter rubbish and we knew that at the time so I think ten years down the line it just has to be accepted, just as we have to accept the current financial crisis are products of un-checked capitalism run wild that will result in not one person being held to account whilst the rest of us foot the bill as it trickles on down.

I doubt many people in Iraq are pining for the Saddam years, even if they're un-happy with their current lot.

No country attacked America on 9/11 please at least try to get your own history right. Just like your victory and liberation delusions, one only has to watch the news once a week to see both places are in serious turmoil with no end in sight.
