    People are dying because they weren't prepared for the cold snap. Snow ice and sub zero temperatures are normal for early Feb, unless you have some stats that show otherwise...?

    Denying mans contribution to destroying the planet is up there with holocaust denial IMO.

    It isn't cold in Europe. These temperatures are normal in wintertime. We're just not used to the cold, becuase most of this winter has been like spring. In early January I had my lunch outside in a T shirt at a cafe. Totay I have three jumpers and thermal undies. Freaky weather, aptly named climate change.

    Why am I not surprised to find those leading the denial are the usual rabble from the far right?

    It's funny to watch the radical arm of right wing partisans permanent obsession of bemoaning the media for reporting on facts they'd prefer to deny.

    Yes Sailwind, people deserve to know that fat cats like Romney aren't paying their fair share. It's why Mitt didn't want to release the figures, and why the media helped him along there.

    How come I didn't see you lambasting the media for holding the candle for the Birther fiasco? That wasn't even actual fact more a rumour started by another fat cat with a partisan agenda!

    Let's face it none of you really like Romney at all but your hatred of Obama and blind partisanship has reached screaming point, common sense long forgotten. I presume this is a mental health safety net of media blame, should "the un-thinkable" (read quite possible) happen, an Mr Obama be re-elected.

    If Israel got nuked as you put it willi it would cease to exist. It could quite possibly the end of most of us.

    That's why I favour a military strike on their facilities. Even if it only puts them back a few years.

    I don't think anybody in their right mind thinks Iran are bluffing like Hussein was, Scrote. They actually are bloody dangerous already. I agree we shouldn't be telling other countries what to do in general, but a rougue pariah state like Iran must be stopped from aquiring nuclear weapons at all costs IMO.

    As a whole we can still (being the operative word) handle them. Letting the situation degrade for a decade of sanctions will only make regular Iranians suffer, as it did with Iraqi's un SH, and allow the mullah's to further tighten their grip on power. Or worse, if they get the bomb first.......

    Superlib is right, a coalition of neighbouring arab states need to be actively involved in a strike, perhaps with NATO support, and keeping Israel out of it for obvious reasons is just common sense.

    A stain on intelligent Americans not caught up by the tidal wave of radical partisanship, denial and bitter personal attacks. Personally I think you've got the removal date wrong by four years, but we'll have to wait and see. Mr Romney will suffer from the live debates with Obama, because whatever the wingnuts shriek and vomit up, the geezer's as sharp as a cut-throat razor.

    Heh, I was expecting to find out who built the pyramids, the truth behind the Kennedy assasinations and if there are little green men. We got a video of some US forces making a pretty big cock-up, which they hid for obvious reasons, and that was about it.

    When the wikileaks thing started these threads were packed. These days it's getting one post from me, and that's only because I'm bored, sick of hearing about Mtt Romney and it's minus 7 outside.
