No wonder people keep topping themselves - it must be so stressful that you'd just want to lock yourself in a dark room for a month. Except that a lot of them don't have any rooms of their own. And of course, regardless what the govt. tells you, you can't really believe them. I hope everyone stay strong, with faith that things *will *get better.
Posted in: We are exhausted. We have to look at every food item we eat, we only use bottled water for cooking, and on top of that every day we confront this nagging dilemma whether it's really safe for our children to stay in Fukushima or not.

I voted no. Would a war criminal be included in such a time limit?

What does "too soon" mean? before they've gone off? I'd at least give the item a sniff test before chucking it - I'd never throw anything out unopened. I'm more likely to throw out something that's been half-used, and has been sat in the dusty corner of the larder/equivalent for ages.

She deserves to lose her job. She is also responsible. If she knew, she did nothing - shame on her. If she didn't know - shame on her.
What kind of editor can she be when, faced with the kind of information a reporter cannot easily get, she did not ask and check and verify and double-check said reporter's sources?
Not a very good one at all, is the answer.

@okikibi: Alcohol abuse does hurt people near the drinker - physical and verbal abuse, death, arre pretty hurtful.
I agree with this move, and I agree that if cigarettes are to be stamped with preventative slogans, so should alcohol.

Maybe it's the focus on a civil divorce, without acrimony, that's the key here - the desire to move on without bitterness or regret.
Posted in: The March 11 disaster made many couples rethink their priorities. Some found that work was a higher priority to them than family, and this helped people gain the confidence to decide on a divorce.

Cleo -I think you're being messed with.
Being proud of your country's successes, being knowledgable about its failures, being aware of what your country's leaders are doing and have don, following what your country is doing nationally and internationally... these things are important.
Being "taught" patriotism suggests a blind following - bowing and singing and saluting by rote, supporting what goes on no matter what, without correct information... these things are NOT desirable in school!

Imagine anybody calling their country's leader "president", when past preidents have been adulterous, murderous, lying, corrupt, cheating, thieving, slave-owning war-mongerers... Such foolishness.
I'd like to see what this magazine is like before I comment on it either way, and shall order it off Amazaon. But I hope it's good. I like a bit of kulcha.

@lucabrisi: If the man's mentally ill (which I assume is what you mean by "development disorder" , not that he is dyslexic) then there's the reason for his attack right there. In which case evil doesn't come into it at all, does it? And yes, I was replying more to serrano's post than yours, obviously.

I think equating someone with a "development disorder" with being "evil" is just... ignorant.
He's obviously not all there - did he crack, or was he already broken?
I hope very much that her last minutes weren't too horrific.

Therefore, ban people!
