And to add to smithinjapan regarding following schedules to the letter, how about prolonging the closing of national parks till just about when it's much cooler during sundown so it can be enjoyed more by everyone. They close so early.

Besides everything of the above, here's another one..,when putting out the trash. They use the basket in the supermarket to cover their yellow bags also to avoid being messed around by crows, but wouldn't it be better if they use a proper trash can with a lid?

Depression is a disease of the mind. It has to be diagnosed and treated. The environment doesn't have anything to do with it. You may have all the comfort and richness of the world, but with issues like this you will still end up in the mental hospital. There is a thin line between depression and sadness. I think sadness triggers most of not having any initiative to live life the fullest. Another is laziness. No motivation on the part too. No goals, dreams and above all faith.

I was just thinking about the noise this kids make when playing outdoors...the above complains may be a bit sad and extremes to hear. For one I will never make a decision to live near a school, etc. I adore kids, in fact I myself am a babysitter...but I too can't seem to tolerate the noise this kids make in my neighborhood. It could really be so irritating and annoying. Plus they start to play on irregular hours when people take their naps specially on Sundays like when my husband is at home trying to rest. I feel sorry for him at times...never mind the little noise they make, but it's not little, they scream, the basketball that bounces on the streets echoes back inside the house, the slide in the park wherein they throw sand and rocks and again an annoying noise that it creates. And it could go on till around 6:30 pm...then after they've all gone home there's a feeling of relief and peace. If only there could be some little care for the other people that the streets for one is not a playground. And to lessen the screaming as part of their game...I think this kids are so hyper...it's like they own the streets and you can't tell them off either as they will just give you a stare and continue with their frolic!!!

Chucky3176... Yes shoplifting is news to Japan because this is the most honest country in the world! I've lived here for more than 30 years and I can vouch for that. I misplaced my engagement ring twice during yoga class and in a shopping mall.....got it back twice as well!!!!!!!! Only in Japan!

Bgaudry!!! You just said all that what I wanted to say...to add though..they are endlessly looking for faults and reasons to make transactions take longer and complicating. Another one is that their homes aren't exactly designed for chilling out or relaxing. The man know that their wives prefer them not to be home early to be able to eat dinner together with them and cuddle in bed after cleaning up together in the kitchen, putting the kids to bed together ad perhaps reading them a book before bedtime. So they make reasons preferring to stay in the office...they don't have any other way of fun, they simple don't know how to enjoy unless they've had a few beers. This is not all.....the list continues....

Suicide is related to mental illness, if undiagnosed it will never be prevented. And a lot don't know that they have this illness as well. Visiting a therapist should be more encouraged rather than kept hidden and ashamed. It should start to be a good positive trend for young and old. Ad with a big open mind.
