No. The ability to vote should remain a benefit of citizenship. If you want to vote in Japan, become a Japanese citizen.

Yes, the US military has had to make choices as to which relief planes could land and fit into the congested airport. Did they favor US military aircraft over foreign help? I wouldn't be surprised - possibly because management knew the contents of specific planes was more useful than others.
I'm very pleased to see the US military so involved with relief efforts in Haiti. Given the US military presence in Japan, I hope Japanese leaders are watching very closely. When the next major earthquake strikes Japan, and the US military again offers help, hopefully the Japan's leaders will be able to vividly recall the relief efforts in Haiti and allow help from the capable US military. The lives they save could be our own.

I doubt if Bush was being sarcastic. Most likely he was briefed on the need for cash and the lack of need for blankets and bottled water before the press conference with Presidents Clinton and Obama. Donations of blankets and bottled water may have been made with good intentions and make the donators "feel good", but, apparently, those donations are not helpful.

Wendy's had great burgers and lousy service. I also see Zensho has reduced the number of El Toritos in Japan to just 6.

If the New York commercial is the colorful one on youtube that ends with a giant Rubik's cube in Times Square, it's kind of lame compared to the dancing-parade one they did earlier this year.

I don't know.
What I do know is that Obama's behaving an awful lot like a Republican. Using acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize as a forum to explain, “Some will kill. Some will be killed.” and "Evil does exist in the world." makes him sound a little like Reagan.
I also know there are plenty of Obama supporters who assumed Obama would bring an end to these wars. Those who did have got to be plenty disappointed.
What do Oprah and the women on The View have to say about it, I wonder.
