30 years in advertising, 5 years with the company, yet the problem here isn't obvious? Nope, they need time to "study" it.
I'll stick with Toyoko Inn.

Smith, having spent some time in Arizona, I can assure you that some people do in fact open carry handguns. I never saw anyone with an assault rifle on their back, though.

Report what? The government already granted them open-carry permits.

Skip - The man carrying the assault rifle appears to be neither fat, nor old, nor white.

It would be difficult allow some people the opportunity to exercise their rights to free speech in a public location at a given time, yet now allow other people the opportunity to exercise their (legally granted) rights to bear arms in the same location, at the same time. Obama was inside and the open carrying protesters were outside. The Secret Service obviously allowed/tolerated it. What exactly is the harm here that would be justify temporarily denying citizens previously legally granted rights?

It's somewhat silly to ask people if they support "the ban", without saying specifically what ban, in what country you are referring to. My stance? I believe people should feel free to exercise whatever rights they have been granted by their respective governments. Additionally, people should follow the law.

Well, it would depend on the country, and the rights of citizens in that country, and the laws of each country.

To paraphrase Voltaire, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." It's a sad day when anyone is put in jail for exercising free speech.

USJ had a similar water parade, with sprinklers and kids with water pistols, but it was canceled today, I kid you not, because of rain.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Reported elsewhere on the internet, "From July 1998 through December 2008, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) killed over 21,000 dogs, cats, and other "companion animals."...On its 2002 federal income-tax return, PETA claimed a $9,370 write-off for a giant walk-in freezer, the kind most people use as a meat locker or for ice-cream storage. But animal-rights activists don't eat meat or dairy foods. And during a 2007 criminal trial, a PETA manager (testifying under oath) confirmed the obvious -- that the group uses the appliance to store the bodies of its victims."" Stick to the speech. Read the teleprompter. Stay on message. Don't deviate from the speaking points.
"The police behaved stupidly" probably cost Obama 2 or 3 approval points and distracted from his health care message. Even Jon Stewart was making fun of Obama.

Stay awake the entire night before the flight. Get to the airport exhausted. Board. Ear plugs. Nytol. Sleep about 8 hours on the plane. Get to location. Sleep when night comes to the new location. Next day, I'm fine.

This is most likely the country-themed costume, which tend to be both representative of ones nation as well as, you know, sexy. Google 1st Runner Up Kurara Chibana's and Miss Universe Riyo Mori's country costumes for comparison. They are somewhat similar.

Smith: I was in BK Shinjuku on a Sunday about a year ago. Ran into a group of well-dressed middle aged men. One had a laptop with a BK desktop, so I figured these were the execs. I was right. Looking at their pictures, I'm pretty sure one was the CEO of BK Japan. Anyway, after my Double Whopper with cheese, I sheepishly walk over to their table, "Sumimasen". They all stop talking and give me a WTF look, and I say, "Burger King ga Osaka ni kurun des ka?" The guy's face changes to a mixture of pride and surprise at being recognized and says "Rai nen, tabun rainen." That was last year so perhaps they'll put something into one of the new buildings going up in Osaka this year.
