The Associated Press says this story was written by Shino Yuasa. Perhaps Shino isn't actually in Japan, and is filling in for reporters who are on Obon vacation? I can't imagine anyone actually here in Japan reporting this so inaccurately. If Shino's out there reading this, perhaps a few weather…

What??? Typhoon Etau doesn't exist. Tropical Storm Etau, which is not even expected to become a typhoon, is still a quite a bit offshore and hasn't hit yet. The rain that hit Okayama and Hyogo is from a different weather system.…
