Nukeprotest... I can't say I disagree. It seems every effing thing is an opportunity for the rest of Asia to bring up the war and protest outside of the consulate office. WTF? What reasonable action can the government of Japan take to adequately respond to these protestors?
Message to the rest of Asia... come up with a new complaint. My eyes grow tired of reading this one.

I once saw a very interesting British documentary on alcohol. In it they gave a bunch of monkeys access to alcohol through an accessible drip bottle. They found that about 25% of the monkeys tried it once and then didn't bother to go back (they didn't care for it), 50% went back on occasion, but didn't really abuse their access, and the remaining 25% went nuts for the stuff. I wonder if this isn't in part the same gene causing this kind of result. It seems to mirror human consumption. Great documentary.

And personally, I would have let them score a few plays earlier when there was more time left. Mind you, in any Madden I've ever played, I also go on fourth down when I'm on my own 10. Just makes things interesting.

Thanks Paulinusa. One thing that always cracks me up is that come Super Bowl, the non-fans (ie Virtuoso (obviously not on the field)) come out in droves pretending they know what they're talking about.
Anyhoo, it was a great game. A little odd with the safety, but fun to watch. Eleisha must be happy. Really, what kind of name for a QB is that? Still don't think he's better than Peyton. Can't wait for next season.

Thank you Banger. I was waiting for someone to mention the Israeli issue. How is this veto any different from the US veto? Because Palestinians aren't being killed? Ah the hypocrisy!
Good to see the anti-American/anti-Obama folk come out in favour of some arabs though. Thought their hate for Islam would continue unabated.

Don't think it matters who wins what, the US is a fading empire. Sorry, but it happens. Sure, the US had it good for a while, but so did Rome. Unfortunately, the US is going to take down a lot of other countries as it falls. But give the world a hundred years or so to adjust and someone else will be on top.
Everything that comes into being falls out of being too. Nature!

OK Serrano, I'm gonna finish off this conversation.

zurcronium cites research done in Ontario. Which means it refers to Canada. America is not Canada.
He's right there Zurc. And just remember, the US is always a couple steps ahead. After all, Canada is still in the midst of having the conservatives destroy the economy built up by the liberals.

I would love to have an international Battle Royal-style gathering on some desert island between the world's worst boneheads 18 and under. I'm curious to see who the baddest of the bad would be. Not that a J-crew would win, but it would be neat to see all of these punks humiliated by some of their own ilk. Then just take the winning crew of baddies, bury them up to their necks in the sand and feed a company of ants with them. I bet you could sell a tonne of pay-per-view subscriptions for something like that.

I hear yer pain Capn. Though I am happy to say I am one of the few who still own an old 37-inch fat boy that weighs a metric tonne. I got it from a friend when he bought a 40-inch flat screen back when that was the impressively big number. It just blows my mind walking the streets of T.O. just how many TVs I see on the curb waiting for pickup. You can't give the damn things away anymore. I feel like one of those people who don't have a cell phone. Friends look at me strangely. Thieves won't even bother to lug it away. Not sure I mind, not sure I mind.

"He's Japanese.... they don't whinge like us Americans." I guess you Americans must be bottom of the whussy list, cuz I can't tell you how often I have heard the Japanese complain about the weather. The comfort zone is a span of five degrees. One degree either way and they are all "Kyo samuii ne" or "Achh, atsusugiru". Just one degree.
Regardless, I am sure Texas will suit him as well as any other city. I can't wait to see him play. I hope he is not a flop, like so many before him.
