limbo, I like your responses. For me, it is all about politics. How can what a few people say about the imbalance between English and French equate to French-English strife? Having done a cultural exchange in Quebec, I can tell the world how incredible the Quebecois are as a people. I'm not talking about the politicians etc, who whether French or English, have their own agendas. I'm talking about the people. They are a nation. It is a great culture that is in danger of being sidelined and often times have to assert their position in Canada. That is where the posturing comes from. Sadly, many Anglo-Canadians take this as whining.

Did the child puke on him, or is that really his shirt? It's gotta be puke.

If any foreigner on here ever goes home, Egg or Men's Egg (possibly the latter in particular) is a great way to shoe the whackiness of Japan. I always did my stand and read gawking at these books. Highlarious. Absolute nutbars. But it takes all sorts...

I'm sure there is a Chinese restaurant in the neighbourhood who will happily take over the responsibilities of fattening up these wayward pussies. Somehow methinks it would be more of a trap-return (in a completely new form) to the neighbourhood.

Chotto... when you hear hoof beats think horses not zebras as the saying goes. How often do babies get snatched moments after birth, umbilical cord still attached? I know this is Japan, but I doubt the mother simply left the newborn (literally) in the backseat after giving birth so she could run into the drug store. Snatched... Really, that is absurd.

Luxury car? Could it be a bunch of Yaks out on the town? The plate and the car don't match up? Sounds like some shifty business.

Come now people, I recently heard that the Japanese had begun making plans on creating a commission that would discuss the possibility of whether or not they should consider creating a focus group on the question of whether it would be deemed proper, at this time, to consider the possibility of creating a standing government aligned position paper that would necessitate the gradual formation of a diet-led group of underlings that would discuss this very subject. Headway is being made people. Relax!

I love these kinds of fraud stories. Like when the guy ate 60,000 yen worth of gyudon and then told them 14 hours later that he didn't have any money. Ha ha hha. Love it. I LOVE it.

I trust the mini-skirted police to do the job better than most of the non-mini-skirted variety. Disturbing!

Is this in the crime section because of the man in black, or the mother? I'm confused.

Sirgamble, while I agree with you on some points, you should check your history books. Unless, of course, they are Japanese. The US has never been attacked on their home soil by a professional army? A peak at Wikipedia will teach you the error of your ways, but let me find it for you.

The Burning of Washington took place on August 24, 1814, during the War of 1812 between the British Empire and the United States of America. British forces occupied Washington, D.C. and set fire to many public buildings following the American defeat at the Battle of Bladensburg. The facilities of the U.S. government, including the White House, were largely destroyed, though strict discipline and the British commander's orders to burn only public buildings are credited with preserving the city's private buildings.

Not only was the US attacked, but it had its most important office and icon leveled in the fight. How quickly Americans forget. So, perhaps you should do some back peddling like Giuliani. Not that I like him, or anything. Nor the republicans, but...

They should start searching the homes of all the JHS and HS kids that have the Happa or pot leaf adorned clothing, bags, books etc. My own mother in law has a pot leaf necklace. Anyhoo, that will keep the cops busy while the growers assert claims over their territories. And as for bringing weed INTO Japan... why bother? The stuff grows quite nicely in the long grow seasons all on its own. Most of the weed getting through at the airport comes from the custom guys trying to train their moronic junior officers and screwing up.

SS will have to get a bigger boat and return the favour. And WforW, the problem with cleaning up the messes in your own country before protesting what other countries are doing is that there is really no one to protest here in Japan. The Japanese in all their apathy would be content to watch themselves destroy the whole world without even caring that they are doing it. Boiled frog anyone?
