thenewsfront it teaches you to put question marks at the end of sentences that are actually questions AND it lets you know that "worser" isn't a word. Otherwise, I agree, it isn't a complete necessity. Getting an education as a plumber works just as well in the end.

Why do so many assume this kid succumbed to "peer pressure"? Perhaps he was the one who was pressuring others. He was 19. It isn't like he was a JHS student.
And like a few who have mentioned it already, the weed wouldn't have done this to him. I musta smoked a whole ounce last night, and I sit here typing still. Learn yer lesson Japan. Legalize it!

Triple888 "I'm sure those six pupils will live guilt for the rest for their lives." Do you know where you are right now? They will feel no guilt. They will probably play the victim card, completely avoiding any guilt. I mean really, this IS japan.

Perhaps this is just the evolution of humanity. The more we expand into areas we were not meant to be, in such great numbers, the more we see this rather sadistic behavior.
You folks aught to read Piercing by Ryo Murakami if you want to get a look at this developing psyche. It is about a Japanese dude who wakes up and finds himself holding an ice pick to his own child's skull. He then works on a plan to stab and torture some random person. He actually takes some time off of work to do it. Nice vacation.

It's either an old coot with too much time on his hands, or a young coot with too much time on his hand and the internet to help him research the minutia of the case from way back when. Either way, people today have too much time on their hands. Case in point.

I think the 65-year-old dude in Saitama who got stabbed in the chest also took this same crime prevention course. Didn't quite end with the same result though.

This may be old to some, but here is an interesting take on consumerism and its end result. http://www.storyofstuff.com/ Pretty well presented case. I would love to hear somebody try and rip it to pieces.

Good luck. If the black van crew slash movie screens for The Last Samurai, they'll have theatres burning to the ground for this film. But let it be shown, movie theatres charge too much anyways.

I actually found myself liking/respecting Phelps much more than when he was in the games. He should counter-sue for harassment. Ridiculous.

I don't think people "sign up" for this type of thing. They are not given a choice of the matter. There is no "permanent job" and "temporary job" list. This is the company trying to get around paying the real cost of hiring the labour it needs. Nothing more and nothing less. They don't want to pay the benefits that are attached with full time labour. Or, they are hiring foreign workers and feel no need to treat them as equals. Tis the way of the corporation at work here.
Posted in: The worst thing is that they are treated like they are things, not human beings.
