Actually, it does add up to 21. Ha. Three years of uni isn't enough though. So, you can't be right.

Hey Ichiro, so you can flunk out of highschool (cuz you sure don't graduate it at 16) and still become a teacher? Are you really Japanese? In the middle school I taught at, the kids graduated at 15, add three years for highschool and at least 3 for uni (and that is being generous) and it still doesn't add up to 21.

Right on Lowly. 100%. Legalize the soft stuff so that fewer people feel the need to do the hocus pocus.

Pukey, the same thing happened to me in Tokyo. We literally crossed intersection, the driver said he didn't know where to go, and we had to pay some 700 yen. At least we waited in the cab for the hotel employee to walk out to the major street and lead us back.
I just don't like cab drivers, period. They suck no matter where you are really. Interesting that the Koreans are offering a reward. In my experience, they would turn their own mothers in for a lot less.

Did I miss something in the article, like the answer to the question posed in the headline? This was a terrible read. What a waste of my time.

Sad to say but this kid isn't going to reach his first birthday. Too bad the system is too broken to realize they should remove the child from the home. Better to grow up an orphan than in that situation.

How do you say "No space" in Japanese? Seems like an easy solution to what is barely a problem.
As one who takes their coffee black I always say "No space" when ordering coffee. If they give me too much space I just throw it in their face and say "What is this crap?". Simple! Baristas love me.

Yup, they can end in idiotic kids losing their lives. Why don't you direct this at the next Bosozoku you meet. But from your posts, I imagine you've never had the pleasure before.

Good luck to the kid. Hope he gets to train up to the MLB and contend with the top players from around the world one of these days. He will always have Matsuzaka and Darvish to look up to and one day follow in their footsteps. I just wouldn't want to be the MLB team to pay the 70 million or whatever it'll cost by then just to talk to the pork slingers when it comes time. Talk about a roll of the dice.
