Cut with other drugs? Come on, stop perpetuating the myths Nicole. Sure, sometimes, people have been known to mix it up with some other stuff like coke or opium, but that's a rarity. Most people just like to have a little after dinner joint now and again. Helps people relax and stuff in a far more non-toxic way than alcohol. A lot of other things are going to kill you first, like taking a bite out of a razor blade stuffed 7/11 burger or a nice mochi ball. And they certainly don't cut pot with anything, not like coke with baby powder, or speed with arsenic, or whatever fear and ignorance-based myths have been passed around by the "Just Say No" crowd. It just isn't worth it. Furthermore, to draw a parallel, I used to eat tomatoes, but nowadays they are growing them hydroponically using all these whacked out chemicals and lighting systems. Those tomatoes are now just way too juicy and red for me to think its right for me, or any others for that matter, to eat.

The cops needed a tip-off to learn that drugs might be used at a rave? Hmmmm well done guys. Well, done indeed.

I thought this was just another way to make cosplay super spectacular like anime and manga. And of course maid outfits, which realistically have been around since porn was born I think.

Catfish... hardly textbook. Wouldn't textbook be trying him twice in the same court in the same country? I say nail this dirt bag.

Zorro... ain't even gonna touch that one.

If he were in his right mind and wanted to get a death sentence, you would think he'd have gotten on a bus to the US. Guess he wasn't/isn't in his right mind.

I believe it may be becoming a more natural choice, but I've met a number of young twenty-something J ladies who want no more than to live at home until they become a housewife and take care of the house and kids. It appears to mimic what I imagine the 1950s to be like. But I'm happy that more young people want to live away from the parents. Fending for yourself builds confidence. Everyone should do it. It's natural.

Posted in: For young women, living alone has become a natural choice. Society has changed considerably over the past five years. It’s now relatively easy to be a single woman.

kawaiitenshi... when hearing the sounds of hooves think horses, not zebras. I mean, sure, it could be that this was just some innocent story of a young guy giving his little sister a ride to school because he knew getting her to her summer enrichment program was a top priority. It is also possible that the young motorcyclist didn't even see the red light (or the police sirens) because he was so intent on getting his charge to the proper authority where she could be taught the proper moral conduct becoming of young Japanese girls. All things are possible... but watch out you don't step in any zebra poop.

    Jon,

I'm sure he was angry. I'm sure he was Hella-angry. I'm sure he was so angry he wanted to kick the crap out of the kid ala Whiley E Coyote and the Road Runner. Which if you actually did on a human scale would cause death a hundred times over. I'm not blaming his actions on the TV. I didn't say the TV made him do it. All I said is that the TV desensitized him to the limits of what the human body can take. When you see a real fight it is not some Rocky movie. It is usually a scrappy, uncoordinated free for all. Not some 10-minute long bout that contains four comebacks as the opponent miraculously stands up to the punishing head blows being delivered. One boot to the temple can kill a man. Simple. Do you get that in the movies? NO. How boring would that be right?

I think this kid simply got carried away with his actions. Didn't realize when to stop and as a result is going to have one guilt-ridden conscience that will last at least until his parent up and move him to another prefecture to hide his and their shame.

And as for not knowing whether this kid hasn't watched TV or movies... come on now lil'Jon you can't possibly be so dense as to assume he's a media recluse. No media? Kids these days don't miss a beat when it comes to TV, Video Games and Movies. I mean really.

Pucker up Lips... I mentioned nothing about what motivated the murder. All I said was that if you see a thousand times someone get kicked in the head, you might start thinking that you can actually do it. Not motive. Learn to read.

This goes well to show how TV violence impacts real life violence. Man if I watched wrestling on TV and some how let it slip into my mind that any human can take anywhere near the abuse they show in the "sport"... Same goes for other forms of entertainment. If you kick someone in the head, the chances are you are gonna do some damage.

I'm wondering if this fella is a Japanese guy or a gaijin. If he's the former, well then cool. If he's the latter, I hope he bought the suit in Japan and didn't lug it on a suitcase. I mean, how often are you gonna get to wear an outfit like that? Nonetheless. I love it. Great to see the ever expanding trilogy getting some play in Japan. Can't wait to see the Clone Wars flick when it comes out.

    Shya!

I really hate that. Especially from someone who isn't THAT good at a sport that isn't really even a sport anyway.

Neil Gaiman's Sandman.... Not sure if you can count him as a superhero though. Not in the typical sense anyways. Bad ass nonetheless. Hope they don't make a movie about it.

Lots of people gamble. Some gamble with money. Some gamble with their children's lives. I get a rather sick feeling when I gamble with money. I imagine I would feel much worse if I was gambling with my child's life. As for Rom3's earlier story about running out for some nappies... congratulations, you won. Yer a lucky guy! Leave it at that. No need to comment on what childless elitists believe is a waste of life. Just because your child didn't end up on the pavement below, doesn't mean it is justifiable to leave your children all orusaban.

That all said. I always noticed at my local watering hole that the parents weren't too shy about bringing their kids to the bar and letting them (after they've burned off some energy annoying the rest of the patrons) fall asleep under the table. I'm sure all of the parents are completely fine to drive and all (wouldn't want to gamble on that though).

Geez I thought it was just one of the summer festivals. Brought the kids out. Now I see why there were no greasy wieners on sticks or snowcone thingys. Oh well. Down with submarines. Down with nuclear power. Down with the American war machine.
