I imagine a lot of places in DC had shots fired at them the other day.

Unlike Japanese 19-year-olds, this Italian was an adult, knew what he was doing and did it. These two Japanese peddlers, were also adults, knew what they were doing and did it. No amount of "education" is going to change that, and no amount will stop it from happening again. These two were obviously partiers and hooked into the rave scene. Now they will pay the price for getting caught. I'm all for experimentation, but if you are going to play the game, you have to risk it all. They all did.

I mostly agree with shinjukuboy there. Nobody really cares about the island. It is a side show to most people's lives.

I was speaking to one of my colleagues who was raised in the mainland, went to school in Hong Kong and then moved to Canada to do her master's and work. She is into Doraemon, some j-pop and what have you. Just a nice and friendly person in general. Is she a typical Chinese person? I don't know, but she certainly doesn't care too much about a couple of rocks.

In the short term this rivalry will just continue to simmer. I think it will come to a head one of these days, in the distant future. But for now it will simmer. It will be interesting to see what happens when the spoiled little fat boys of China's one child policy come into power though. If the politicians act like children now, wait until those spoon-feds take the reins. Can't wait!

95$ to the family? Who the hell put her in the brothel in the first place? Sad story all around. They should have made him pay $95,000 and put the money into trust for these poor kids who're sold into slavery.

Hey there Cliff Clavens... I don't imagine they are referring to democracy as it was in antiquity. Y'must be a ball of laughs when yer out with the gang, splitting hairs and all. I'm with Smartacus. That way, I won't be first against the wall.

Wow, lot's of transference going on here. Nobody knows what kind of relationship they had. You blame the mother. Perhaps the girl, like many teenagers, pushed her out of her life. Nobody knows. I'm glad she has done the right thing though, and turned herself in to police.

She should get one year probation and be forced to pay a $2,000 dollar fine. Whoops, that is what happened.

Seriously folks... do you think any normal person would be sent of to jail for .8 grams of blow? What a bloody waste of tax-payer money it would be if everyone caught with a tiny bit of substance was sent to jail. Come on people, the War on Drugs was lost decades ago.

And for the record, unless we're talking about One Night in Paris, I am not a fan of this woman.

What could make a woman more miserable than throwing a baby that she just delivered?

Hmmmm. Let's see in Japan, that could range from not getting the LV bag she wanted to learning that she would have to feed and cloth the little accessory growing inside of her. All would probably make her feel more miserable than throwing away a baby she just delivered.

2100 false alarm calls but only 112 call-outs. Yup, that's about right for the J-police.

If you have a problem. If no one else can help. And if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The Araki-Team.

Come on folks this has to be a publicity stunt for his upcoming movie. Araki: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Nippon!

Japan seems to have a lot of nutters on the loose killing people and getting away with it.

Poor woman, hope they find who did it.

I wonder what Sarge would say if some foreign oppressor went to the US and tried to liberate them? Damn someone should give the US a taste of their own medicine. I guess their time is coming though. Can't prime the pump forever.
