I have heard that knives can inflict fatal wounds. I have never verified that for myself, however, based on the assumption of that to be true, I would think that the police officers would be justified in using deadly force in defending themselves. So, IMO, they should have just shot the old fart.

I wish he would declare what the end goal was first? The right war? Explain please. Killing all the Taliban is not practical, the average Afghan that wants an income becomes a Taliban as needed. The Taliban "surrendering"? Yea, right, they are more an ideology than an entity. Making Afghanistan safe and secure? Sure, not in anyones lifetime what with the present just kill em all and lets prop up the corrupt Afghan government policy. Stopping illegal drug trade? Sure, when it makes up 70% of the GDP? Not likely.......... So, hate to say it, but looks like it is time to bring our troops home.....

Yea, Ok more promises from the modern day P.T. Barnum of the political world. I especially love his phrase "... saved umteen bazillion jobs......." Something which of course is easily verifiable. And his latest speech failed to name a single company by name that was "...actually calling people back to work......" You voted him in, you get to live with him.........

Profound words indeed. What mess exactly are you speaking of? Bad loans being defaulted on when the balloon payments kick in? That was an ACORN/Dem plan. Terrorists in Paki? Humm, Musharif and Bush are gone, why can't they all be friends? Violence up again in Iraq starting the same week Obama announced our departure date? N Korea backed off agreements made to the Bush admin and are testing nukes again? Perhaps they didn't hear Obamba peace to the world messages? Iran kicks all inspectors out and refuses to heed international pressure? Me thinks the world knows bambi better than his "supporters" do........
