Gee, I was just hoping for more facts in light of the fact that the current president might use the opportunity to demand the truth from the lying scumbags of the former administration. We have all been debating far to long to have you extrapolate hate for certain people and policies to the entire U.S. of A., so please, desist.

Well Super, most people believe in some supreme deity but I have not seen the proof yet.

But do you realize the commissioner and co-commissioner of the 9/11 investigation committee have themselves cried foul over things being hidden from them in the course of the investigation. Of course you do, as it has been pointed out before. You, like all those countries that walked out with the U.S. just don't want to hear anything that might challenge what you already made your mind up about, as its inconvenient.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11_Commission

The commission was criticized for significant alleged conflicts of interest on the part of commissioners and staff (e.g.; Philip D. Zelikow, 9/11 Commission Executive Director/Chair in 1995 co-authored book with Condoleezza Rice[12])[13] Further, the commission's report has been the subject of much criticism by both the commissioners themselves and by others.[14][15]

9/11 is probably the most reported on event in the history of the world

Which is a different thing from being the most investigated event.

This is nothing but a pi$$ing match, and even the dumbest conservative should be able to see that. But no surprise that a conservative has latched on the the "who" of the match rather the "what" of the principles. Ahmadinejad called for an independent U.N. investigation into 9/11. I support that. I do not support Ahmadinejad, but I don't expect a conservative to be able to wrap his head around the difference.

People talk about counseling like its an operation with a high success rate. Its not. Besides, there is little doubt she is too poor to get counseling, as little faith as I have in it.

I hope she finds a very special man who has the empathy to handle whatever problems she may now have, someone who is a strong emotional anchor for her.

This is like saying 360 mice are the equivalent of 2 elephants.

I probably would have just given all of the above life and been done with it.

But the thing is I have about several unanswered questions about this case. Rape could mean a number of things anymore. It seriously needs to broken down into three or four other terms.

People who post stuff like this are scarier than the teacher in question. He put a camera in the girl's WC. I totally support that being a crime, but to say his crime is just being a pedophile?? To say he should be killed?? Some people live very sheltered lives and maybe watch too much CSI? Some people need to get out in the real world and get some priorities.

Fadamor said: Actually, the sardonic irony was easily spotted. What was missed was WHY you were using that method. Borscht's comment was not "banal" and was a direct reply to someone else's off-the-wall post.

In fact, that post was quite banal and was THE off the wall post. All I did was urge people to be cautious and not go handing super-judicial powers to irrational zealots.

A knock on the door brings a parent to the door, who lets the agency representatives in to see the child.

    Isn't that already being done?

The only time doors are going to be broken down is if no one opens the door and there is crying on the other side.

How very reassuring! I am sure no one will get gung-ho because Fadamor has spoken!

My advice is to go back and read my comments. All I did was urge being careful and learning from the history of others who have been on the same road. It also helps to not be all self-righteous. Some kids need help, but other kids don't need a random "heroes" delusions of grandeur.

Glad to hear Potter will be in two parts. That gives them a chance to do the books justice. Now, I hope they actually did do the books justice.

Gender had nothing to do with it. The death penalty has no place in a civilized society. But Americans are just too hard headed to listen to such talk. As an American, America embarrasses me doing this.

limboinjapan said: Perhaps it was also the fact that she was 17 at the time she got pregnant and her lack of maturity had a lot to do with things!

Perhaps. But also education might have had something to do with it. And how she was raised.

But that couldn't be could it seeing you have told us all how sex and love in the case of minors is a personal choice and minors are old enough to make their own decisions.

And have you suggested that legal adults are old enough to make their own decisions? Pretty much the same thing has been reported here where it was a 20 or 30 something. My God! I honestly hope you don't actually believe this one 18 year old represents them all!

I have also suggested that parents be legally required to be consulted for dating with a minor. But you know what? There are always going to be idiots in this world, and if not for them and just plain evil people, we not need any rules! No rule will be perfect. And the rules you love did not prevent this, did they?

Or was it another child also not Mature enough to make an informed decision

An informed decision also requires information. You know that? And it does not come by osmosis! An older person can be just as uninformed, or misinformed even. They can be just plain evil too. I want to go after the evil men. I want to educate the uneducated. But pregnancy is so darned easy to prevent I really can't understand your attitude.

What I want to know is how he was planning on turning on the camera.

Well, it seems pretty obvious that the camera was on as he put it up, which is why he himself was filmed. So, I recommend being careful with throwing the word moron around.

Too bad another teacher had not caught him and the girls were none the wiser.

What's with the talk of talk of master and slave, vassal and loyalist?

Well, what do you call a people being controlled by others when they don't want it? Are Palestinians Palestinian, or are they Israeli? If they are Palestinians, why would you support control of them by Israel? Don't a separate people have a right to self-government?

I'm sorry, but this is just nonsense. Palestine declared independence? From who ? From Jordan?

From everyone. A declaration of independence is how a country is formed. A country does not just spring into existence on its own you know. Israel also declared independence in 1948. Its a fairly well known process. Look it up.

When I was about 13 or 14, the drinking age went from 18 to 21. For a teen, three years is an eternity. But I can't understand these whingers. They have to work for two more years? It sure is better than having no pension at all, which is where so many Japanese have wound up, and they had to wait to 65 to get jipped too. There won't be any money unless people work and pay in enough. And 65 is not doubt far more average for the world. And aren't the French known for longevity anyway?

Klein2, this is readily explained by the phenomenon of the omega wolf. Its pack behavior. Its also quite sad that people give in to such lame animal weaknesses and try pretend they are being rational or even fair. I would not mind so much if they were not commenting on matters of law and international import.

I don't if some of the above posters realize it, but you won't be voting for the POTUS this November. And it was always stupid just to vote for someone because of a D or an R next to their name. How about knowing something about the people running? BOTH of them.
