This was awhile ago, but what the heck, I'll go ahead and respond anyway.
To answer your question, yes. I wouldn't have any qualms about being the hangman. Well, apart from not wanting to be the one to personally pull the trigger on anyone, even a murderer. I don't really doubt the guys guilt though. Having said this I freely admit I don't know anything about the case. However, think about it for a moment. If there was really significant evidence of coercion, or a forced confession, he would have gotten a new trial. And they'd have tossed out his confession. That they didn't suggests that perhaps despite your saying it was forced, that either it wasn't, or that certain details in the confession lead them to believe that he really is guilty. Again, I don't know the case so I don't know the details, this is just my personal belief. Take it as you will.

Its hard to defend this. Kiddy porn just turns my stomach. But I've said before, as long as they're not involved in making it, just possessing it...
Like I said, hard to defend, but it seems a slippery slope. People like rjd who apparently wants to kill the guy for merely possessing this material. And yes, I know the arguments, that people who make it, start out by looking at it. And I'd say the same thing is true of violent video games. Some people watch, in order to relieve their unacceptable tendencies. Others, use it to fuel them.
Hmm, nevermind, I can't defend this guy, don't want to either. Just hope his private collection of kiddy porn, wasn't stuff he made himself. If thats the case, then I'd go along with Rdj, and say hang him.

BlackFlag. So, you're saying of the 100 people currently on death row, 1 of them is actually innocent. Right? Which one? Please, by all means, since you can look at this number and discern the truth. In your moral outrage, which thinks, surely 1 in 100 must be innocent. Please, let us know which person should be released, and then of course you should volunteer to have him live next door to you.

Yeah, its always horrible when a country violates another countries borders. On the other hand, its just as bad, if not worse, when that other country is supporting a civil war in the other country. Personally, I think Syria should apologize for harboring and supporting terrorists.

Well, sure, if you mean, after having been arrested, tried, found guilty, appealed, verdict upheld, appealed again, in some cases retried, finally executed years after they should have been. That is running for the rope and tree... Or not.
What you fail to understand is, these people are guilty. All these statements about how innocents are being executed is just nonsense. That they refuse to admit their guilt, does not mean they're not guilty. I'm not in general a big fan of Japanese justice. Theres too much they really need to address. However, each of these people have had their Due Process. You can't expect more then that.

Good news. 4 years is relatively quick for an execution, but definitely good news. Finally justice for their victims. That 1992 guy, definitely too long for him. I like how they don't tell murderers the date of their death. Just surprise them with it, the same way they did with their victims. I think other countries should adopt that standard as well.

Because despite the name change, common nomenclature still recalls it as Iwo Jima. IE Everyone knows what you're talking about when you say Iwo Jima, if you say Iwo to, people would ay, huh?

On a personal level, I would have to say, the whole idea of 2 guys getting married bugs the hell out of me. They're welcome to do whatever they want, in the privacy of their own home, because frankly its none of my business, but don't call it marriage unless you're hooking up with a girl on the side.
And like Shatner said. If you want to be gay, then be gay. Its no ones business but your own.
Regarding what Shatner said about not being invited. Seriously who cares. You did a TV show together 40 years ago, you were in a couple movies since. The most recent being what, 15 years ago? Looking at my own life, if someone I worked with 15 years ago got upset about not being invited to my wedding, I would wonder what the heck was wrong with them.

I'm curious how old the girl was that he arranged to meet. Was she another underage girl like that other cop who got busted for having sex with a 17 year old?

Yes, a good theory, well, if you're an idiot anyway. Come on, you have to really be willing to believe anything, to buy into a murder theory on this for even a second. If you buy this, I have some great real-estate to sell you in Florida. Bargain basement prices too...

There is no way in the world this woman is to blame. The blame rests solely on the shoulders of the monster who murdered her. Perhaps she didn't pay as close attention as she should have. Certainly not as much as she wishes she had. But when it comes right down to it, she didn't strangle her daughter, a monster did.

Thats really sad. The fact that the guy would get less time for being drunk and stopping, then for killing the guy and running away. Something is definitely wrong with this picture.

You're a little late on this ya know. Early voting in Ohio, and we've already read reports of people who registered improperly, showing up to vote illegally. So, its already occured. Democrats are trying to stuff the ballot box. I don't think its systematic in either party, its most likely small groups of people without any connection to either candidate who are doing this.

Did you really say decrease taxes? You gotta be joking right. Obama is all about increasing taxes. Oh, he pays lip service to it, talks about how hes going to lower taxes on the poorest of Americans. Basically, under Obama, if you make more then 20k a year, you'll pay more. And Obama has said repeatedly, he is pulling out the troops, period. Call him little Carter. The worst president of the 20th century.
