So stupid. Obviously will be appealed, and overturned. Judge is a nut. Supreme court has already ruled on the issue. And it wasn't the standard 5-4 decision either.

Indeed they should. And the first step in doing that, is increasing their own defenses and readiness. The best way to maintain peace, is for China to see that Japan is not someone to mess with.

Heh, one of the top rated shows in the world, and you say he's relatively unknown? And the show was making a valid point, that the infrastructure isn't in place for electric cars to be a valid choice outside large cities.

Stupid, naive, meaningless class warfare arguments. The Rich aren't wealthy enough to cover this amount of spending. And your idiotic 'fair' statement is likewise meaningless unless you define what fair is. How much is their 'fair share'? You'll note those who repeat this mantra, never bother to define it. Is the fair share 100% of their income? Or only 80%. The fact that the high income earners already pay almost all of the amount the government takes in, and that over half of the people pay no income taxes at all, is ignored by those who keep preaching the doctrine of class envy and greed. Regardless though, it doesn't get at the basic fact, that there simply isn't enough money to pay for what these idiots on both sides have agreed to.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence on that one. I live very close to one of the biggest nuclear power plants in the world, and have no problems with it. Indeed, I and most of my neighbors love it. The reason is simple. The land prices, and all the chicken littles are too scared to live there, meaning, I have own a large piece of land, that cost me very little, and my closest neighbor lives more then two hundred yards away. As for the fear that something might happen. I don't anticipate a 9.0 earthquake any time soon, and living in Arizona, I'm not exactly worried about Tsunamis.

lol, you've just proven that you know nothing about how the things work. They are not cheap, nor are they efficient. You have the cost to build and maintain them, which is actually quite significant. But you also have the additional cost of keeping several traditional backup power plants on standby, to make up the difference. It actually costs less to just have those power plants up and running then it does to keep them on standby.

Gotcha, and you think, and no doubt they think that the only way to 'save' the country, is to continue to deficit spend. To spend more and more money, at what point is enough enough? Lets be realistic here. Democrats don't give a rats ass about the country. When they pull this crap, it becomes more then obvious. What they care about is being re-elected. They think that if they stave off the wolves a bit longer, they'll make it to, and through the next election. This naive short-term outlook has been killing America. It is certainly not helping it. And while this negative spiral began under Bush, lets remember, that the explosion in spending only occurred when the Dems gained control of congress. We were 7 trillion in the hole, now we're 15, and its only going to get worse. This 'grand compromise' essentially means we'll go another 10 trillion in the hole, and if the commission is as successful as they are mandated to be, then it will only be another 7.5. Thats 25 trillion dollars in debt as opposed to 27.
When will people finally wake up and realize, this is not sustainable. They are facing that reality in Europe, and we are only a few years behind. It won't be long until, the amount of money just to pay the interest on the debt, will be the largest single expenditure in the budget. You think the pain of fixing this is too much? The pain of waiting will be much, much worse. And the saddest part of this whole thing, is that if we spent the same amount as we are today, for the next 10 years, instead of increasing the spending every year, the budget would balance all on its own. Now thats whats truly pathetic. They can't even agree to simply spend the same amount. Instead they're arguing over how much to increase spending by, not how much to cut spending.

Let us all rejoice. The deal is done, catastrophe averted. The US will go another 10 trillion dollars into debt. Hooray. Isn't our President wonderful! Ah, but wait, they created a debt commission. Their mandate, to see that the US goes 7.5 trillion dollars further into the hole. Wow, so terrific. That means instead of owing 27 trillion, we'll only owe 25 trillion. Amazing. And its all thanks to Obama and the Dems for holding the line on spending. Oh, but we should be sure to thank the Republicans for caving. It couldn't have happened if Boehner and a bunch of Republicans hadn't wimped out. Its just a great day for America!

Hmm, let me think... Not really much of a comparison. First, the Japanese Government didn't plant people. Those who spoke up heard about the program from their co-workers, and not wanting something completely against their industry spoke out. Since they are in fact citizens, and have a perfect right to do so, the whole issue was stupid. Would be like saying, if you work for someone, you can't go out and recommend their services to others. Contrast this with the Chinese government specifically banning all mention of the accident. It would be like Japan clamping down on the media here over the whole meltdown issue.

Does anyone else find it interesting, that no one ever explains, what their 'fair share' is? I mean they already pay more then 40% of their income in taxes, as opposed to half of Americans who pay no percent of their income in taxes... Exactly what is their 'fair share'? 100%, 50%? At what point are the high income earners paying enough?
As opposed to Obama who has the respect of the brain-dead, the eco-nuts, and the ivory tower idiots. Anyone with even half a brain has realized just how bad this incompetent is for the country. Not because of his skin color, like some racist idiots keep suggesting, but because of his policies which kill jobs.
I hate to point out the obvious issue here, but those who focus on skin color, are in fact racist.
The 'insane' wing of the Republican party, that thinks the government shouldn't spend more then they take in. Yeah, thats absolute insanity. Its just crazy talk. Everyone who thinks that should immediately be committed... Heh, so funny.
The real problem here is Obama. He keeps trying to play one side off against the other, and Republicans aren't playing. They're looking for a serious negotiation. They're looking for leadership, something he is sadly lacking. In addition, Obama is insisting on no cuts in any area of consequence, certainly no cuts to the disastrous Obamacare idiocy, or social security, or medicare, or just about anywhere else. This means minimal cuts to discretionary spending, and large cuts to the military. Thats just not enough, hence the need to raise taxes. Except this is the worst economy since the great depression, and Obamas policies are making things much worse, and Republicans aren't willing to raise taxes to pay for Obamacare. And thats really what its about.
What this is really about though, is the debt ceiling. The President and most of the politicians want to raise the debt ceiling. However they really don't need to. They can pay the interest on the debt, social security, and the military out of tax revenues. They would even have money left over. However thats not what they want. To be fair, its not what anyone wants, except for the Tea Party.

I don't regret that he hung himself, the man obviously had problems, but what I find interesting, was that it happened in Saipan. Didn't another Japanese guy hang himself a few years ago, rather then be deported to face a trial for murdering his wife?

Every organization requires employees to sign NDAs. Most of them deal with certain proprietary material. Fox is no different.
Sorry, but if you watch the news in the US, the lib spin is more then obvious. In fact, there have been studies done to back it up. One study, went through how many positive stories were broadcast about Obama before the 2008 election, on each network. And how many postive stories were broadcast about McCain. On Fox, it was about 50/50. In other words, about as many positive mentions, or stories about McCain, as Obama. On MSNBC it was more then 5/1. CNN 3 or 4/1. Thats what I mean by all lib spin all the time, and the reason why even the President is starting to use the term 'fair and balanced'.

Why would it endanger the rep among conservatives? As long as the media continues to be 'fair and balanced' as opposed to All lib spin all the time, people are going to keep watching.

Learn from them? I believe they have. What they've learned is not that they need to stop nuclear power. They've also learned, that it takes a major disaster to deal damage to them, and that if they take even modest precautions, they can operate them safely.

Actually, unless its in a treaty, then the US isn't bound by internal UN rules. I don't believe the treaty creating the UN forces the US to be bound by their internal rules.
