@jonnyboy What on earth are you talking about? Nokia better than Japanese phones? So which Nokia has a Bravia screen? Which Nokia doubles as a rail pass?
@European1 Why would you want to use SMS when it was fazed out out in Japan decades ago in favor of email, which has far greater flexibility. I was able to send emails to friends who had email capable phones overseas, it was the people with their 'stone' SMS only capable phones which were the problem.
In terms of keitai at least, Japan is so far ahead it doesn't even matter...

Let me clarify my original post... A car and a knife have primary functions (in modern society) not related to killing, therefore they are useful, if not necessities. A gun on the other hand is made to kill, which is not something we need to do in our day to day lives.

Cheaper and fresher seafood? Yeah I'd say Australia definitely has great oysters and lobster, but to say that Japan's fish doesn't stack up on the international stage is laughable. Only reason Aus has cheaper seafood now is because the dollar isn't worth the plastic it's printed on... Tried buying ikura in Aus lately?
