It seems like one of the major reasons these parents intentionally or inadvertently hurt their children is because of their inability to deal with the child crying. There should be a hotline for parents to call for immediate assistance when faced with this situation.

So sad. One perspective would be to say this doesn't happen often. Another might be to consider that this is just one incident of many that made it to the attention of authorities. We can only hope that the J system will react appropriately.
