They couldn't find any British men to fill in the roles of officers again.

Officer: It's just a pair of running shoes

Vader: (force chokes officer) Do not underestimate the power of Adidas fool!

Would be nice. But Hatoyama is too focused on differentiating himself from the LDP through a series of mysterious mixed messages and confusing indecision and inactivity.

But the fact that Japan has not entered into a security pact with South Korea implies that Japan does not perceive the integrity of the Republic is essential for the security of Japan.

I just want to thank these people for doing a better job for the show than the directors of the Top of the Pops.

In otherwords, these tarento are forcing media so foreign and/or obscure on to the Japanese market, an audience that wouldn't bother watching the show if it didn't have anything to do with the Japanese mainstream media, how pretentious! At least the promoters for 'The OC' in Japan bothered to use the leading actress Mischa Barton at the local release event for a series about a wealthy Anglo-Jewish community in California that most Japanese could care less!

But would the plot have to do with Hawaii as much as most Hollywood films shot in New Zealand have to do with that country?

Thanks to the liberation of Iraq, which Obama was against, and the surge, which Obama said wouldn't work, U.S. forces are leaving an Iraq that's not ruled by an awful dictator and that doesn't seek WMD or threaten its neighbors.

Yep, just like the Japanese liberation of Indonesia. A job well done.

"Born and raised in Yokohama, Koizumi describes herself then as just a typical Japanese girl who didn’t know anything about other cultures."

Then again, there's alot of western media filth like Hollywood and Fox TV channels holds tight grips on Japan's mainstream entertainment culture, on the otherhand the west won't give a nickel to Asian media let alone Japanese ones on their best watched screens. The few shows that do make it are relegated to obscure art house cinemas and ethnically targeted local TV channels.

The punishment for this crime is he has to wear a schoolgirl uniform and everyone gets to take upskirt pics of him and post the results on the internet.

The problem is, he might actually like the idea.

Good grief, I watched this TV show 10 years ago in the wee hours. I never thought it would catch on.

NeoJamal: It's not a matter of Japan allowing the US to help them. From the end of WW2, all the way to now, Japan doesn't have much of a choice. Japan isn't exactly the most liked nation in the region. And as the old saying goes "some wounds never heal", so is the case with Japan and her neighbors regarding old scrs from WW2. It is highly unlikely seeing as how most if not all countries have some sort of economic dealings with Japan, than any of the former victim countries of Japanese aggression would seek war with Japan, but the probability can't be ruled out either. Especially when you have nut jobs like "Pajama Boy" still in power, and at the head of one of the largest armies in the world, not to mention WMDs as well.

then isn't it the duty of the Japanese to reap what it sows instead of letting the US protect them from the "eternal ire" of Asia? What a poor excuse for preserving US interests in the region that are not necessary shared with Japan. The only reason the US got what it wants up till now is because a collection of right wing Asia-hating nut job occupational collaborators, otherwise known as the LDP was in power.

If the nuke justifications should hold, the Japanese should be able to readily argue that sinking hospital ships would have a severe demoralising effect on the enemy and lead to quicker peace and save alot of Japanese lives on both sides.

NeoJamal and southsakai must have went to a Japanese school because "Japanese Society for History Textbook Reform" strikes again.

So does conedemning Allied war crimes imply I went to a Japanese school?

Japan must look at the situation through those peopleseyes and do whatever it can to erase those memories. The ball is firmly in Japans court. So instead of heeding Japanese public opinion about whether or not to admit fault Japan should be focusing solely on Australian public opinion.

But why should Japan apologise to a country that does not condemn the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? the atomic bombing and sinking of the Centaur are legal acts in the sense of aerial bombardment and unrestricted submarine warfare but involved the deaths of mostly non-combatants. Japan's apology would only encourage hypocrisy amongst the Australians who have already shown that they are willing to condemn Japan's aggression during WWII while it readily invaded Iraq. It is best fot the Australian people if Japan admits the acts but not apologise.

Why is it a surprise for many people, when you look at how Hollywood makes films that pander to the White-American audience?

The Japanese broke all the war conventions in a big way, such as torpedoing this ship. Comparisons with the Allies are pathetic, comparisons with the Nazis are justified.

So by your logic, as long as you commit less war crimes than the enemy, you are absolved from all of them?

Our troops in Japan are stationed in a prime location to help our ally Japan, and other friendly nations such as Taiwan and South Korea, be prepared for any possible military action by China, North Korea, or another power in that region

Taiwan and South Korea would not accept strategic help from Japan if offered, so why should Japan allow the US to help them?

Japan as an Axis power must apologise for all instance of war crimes. Of course it would be outright rediculous for Allied Powers to apologise for any 'alleged' war crimes against Japan.

No I think nowadays there are moer ethnic Korean people than J-As.

Damn right, after the EO9066 ordeal, most Nikkei Americans learned as the Ashkenazi Jews did in that congregating amongst themselves will allow them to become easy targets for pogroms, so many of them dispersed and blended in with other ethnic communities.
